Really great that your repairing loved items, great for planet too. It was scary watching you cut the stitching with a knife, could I suggest you buy a stitch unpicker/ ripper. These are very inexpensive and save a trip to Hospital! Just a tip from a worried grandma.
Hi! Oh my god yes, you’re right. Thank you for taking the time to write this comment! ❤️ The dumbest part is that I DO have a seam ripper but I forget / am lazy to fetch it. Pinning your comment-everyone please!! Listen to worried grandma; use the right tools for the job!
We found an abandoned Furby few days back after family that moved out, (s)he's all dusty and dirty, but with your guide we should be able to give it some shine back! :) Dah-kah-oo-nye!
thank you for this video! i just bought a “non-working” 2005 for $80. the only thing wrong with it was battery corrosion but shortly after it started working, the battery cut out. I had some speakers from me working on 1999 furbys so i just used some of those and this video helped me skin the baby! 🎉🎉🎉
It's nice to see it's possible to repair the beak, my mom's black emototronic furby is heavily dried up but is otherwise working great! I was more lucky with mines!
As a fellow artist I'm going to give two smaller recommendations since I've given myself a few accidental scars. Use a stitch ripper and wear thicker gloves. You don't have to take my advice but I couldn't help but feel a bit worried when you were using a box cutter with thin rubber gloves
Hi, my furby (same model just brown) needs a battery compartment cleanup and a spring bc it fell out from being coroded (i bought him like that batteries exploaded) is there any way to take out the whole batery compartment without hurting the furbys mechanics?? i really need help.
Admittedly it takes trial and error to get it right every time :( I repaired one of my girls and after I was done and set her down she crumbled into pieces 😭
I'm working on restoring a Strawberry Swirl and I'm having the worst time with so many plastic elements crumbling. I noticed the front plate of mine doesn't match in color with the back the way the one your working on here does and has blue leg posts which none of my others have. Do you know if it's common to have a lot of variation with the quality of the parts between the different color options? Hopefully she'll be back together soon but I'm taking the time to mold her feet and beak in the process so I can replace her ruined ones.
Woooow! This is beautiful. Do you still do that? And do you ship from/to Europe (EU)? I'd love to give you mine for restoration, I'm almost sure I still have it somewhere and never got rid of it due to nostalgia and probably mu 'tis that disallowed me to throw away any plush or toy because I felt (and till this day I feel) attached entirely to them and I feel like they hold feelings too lmao (I LOVED them. LOVED, as a child!!). This is such a beautiful thing to give those Furbies a 'second' life! And this one in particular looked so cute after the restoration, awww.
I really want to fix my 1998 koala furby because it doesn't work when I put in batteries though its in good condition (update I jump started it and it's motor started smoking)
@@DepressedBarCat and I’m guessing you’ve checked so that no cables are lose or anything? And cleaned the battery compartment of any corrosion? The motor smoking is very concerning
I showed my mom what a 2005 furby looks like without it's fur on and she's terrified lol she doesn't like that it's shell is cream colored because it reminds her of skin. I would never be able to skin 2005 and the led light eyes furbies because im scared I'll break something on accident

Nice video!
Thank you for introducing me to my silicone beak❤️
“ I love you “
“ *RAAAAAA* “
Thank you for making this amazing cute video❤️ Furbys are really adorable
It won't have the tongue, but if you're looking for a cheaper beak option, silicone finger covers work. You could probably paint a flat tongue on it!
Would you know how to clean a silicone beak? Mine has dark stains on it, but some people say not to use alcohol. I'm a bit worried about ruining it
Both an incredible instagrammer AND UA-camr! You never cease to amaze!
i never thought this is where 1am UA-cam would send me... i am not disappointed in the slightest
I really want a 2005 furby… they’re so cute…

Wow what a nice clean up you did on it and repair to.
Am I the only one that would be scared to do this to a 2005 furby, like they're so expensive now and I could destroy it-

@@Greysona that's so sad💀 also I got a 2005 furby a few weeks ago now, he works perfectly 😃

I swear ferbies may be sentient
Love this, please do more videos 💗
I remember when you first bought the first furby in 05 brand new their little feet were made to stink
I've been looking everywhere for a 2005 Furby that doesn't cost 200/300 dollars, most people want 250 or more
have you been looking on eBay? try mercari, you can get one that works for ~$130, and even cheaper if it's not working.
Haha! "Me no ay-tay!" She's not hungry.
amazing! also, furby feet are so cute
We have the same screwdriver kit xD
Yay! Twinsies! 💞
I love that furby
How do you get the beaks? I don't have any JPY to get a beak.
I still need to clean my newest 2005;-;
bish then you are going to do a lot of work:/
@@esmeraldarosales1918 lol I cleaned her like 2 weeks ago it was fair fast
