I guess that’s its name but the actual longest pier is at Myrtle Beach. But truthfully, a lot of claims like that are kind of bogus, or it comes down to some kind of technicality. For example, if I was making a video about Norfolk and mentioned “longest pier” someone would probably chime in about this one at Myrtle Beach. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!
Salt water fishing is the best. When we lived in Florida that is the type of fishing we did 99% of the time. Most of our fishing was from the bank or good old wade fishing. Now, wade fishing was fun. We were lucky enough to catch sheep's head, red fish (red drum), red snapper, trout, and of course, many others. What it looked like you caught was a red drum (known as a spot in Myrtle Beach and SC but in Florida they call them reds/red fish). Your fish was flipping and flopping so much it was hard for me to get a good look - even on pause. lol. What I was looking for was the telltale sign of a black dot mainly found on or right at the tail. But sometimes the black dot is a little further up the body. So that is what it looked like to me. Don't know much about pier fishing but any type of saltwater fishing is tops. Do we get the honor of seeing more of the beach? Hope so because I am really enjoying them. Take care and God Bless.
I love Salt Water fishing, but we live too far away to really get into it. I didn't put enough beach stuff in any of these videos because I used to do that and didn't think anyone really cared about it. Sorry about that.
Honestly, I don't have a clue. I just tried to Google it, but I'm only getting the dimensions that I shared in this video. I'll pay more attention to that next time I go.
The longest pier on the east coast is in Norfolk, Virginia at Oceanview. It's called the 'Longest Pier".

I enjoy lake fishing myself, some good cat fish or trout.
How deep is the water at the tee of the pier.
