Sad thing is, I've never seen any "responsible drone fishermen". It's outrageous to see them taking their lines out over 500+yds, to the point where you can't even see the drone light anymore. One time, these droners were so inconsiderate they were droning their lines out in a "fan" pattern, so whenever I casted, I crossed over their droned out lines, and I was at the spot first. Some are so lazy they don't even go to the beach to place their poles, they just stay right next to the road. The people that are irresponsible, you know who you are. What goes around comes around...
YUP EXACTLY, if you cant cast, no fish
No drone zone 🤙
its tough living in paradise. maybe you should move back to the mainland?
Bummer. Wise words brother, there is still hope
What discouraging news, I was an avid Ulua fisherman on the Big Island from 79'-83' and still have all my "old" gear. Saw drone fishing on UA-cam and thought that maybe I will go back Ulua fishing so I bought a used Phantom 3 drone and the bait release attachment back in around 2018 but haven't even used it or gone back ulua fishing as of yet because of how society has gotten worse with desperate people doing desperate things so even someplace way offroad may not be safe anymore. Now I see this video and I think I'll be flying my drone just for fun at home and my Ulua fishing days are over.
I’m having a hard time catching anything worth taking home and eating. Am I just not fishing the right spots and times? Or is it legitimately harder here because of the clear waters? I just wanna catch something to eat lol
Harder here because people over fish.
What people don't know is that uluas come in. Always caught my uluas within casting distance and still get plenty that come in. A lot of uluas holes that I found when I dived are well within 200 yard marks. South side catch though shore casting, who lying. Like I tell people within 60yards is almost guaranteed, It's all times and tides. Just shows the commitment. Gotta know what the fish want, sometimes no need big bait, if you look the stomach you learn. You know the grounds, you increase your chances. Put in the work, yield the results. Thnx for the heads up, good video though, the droners had it coming, it was getting out of control. Basically put a halt on my dreams for a bit but I still get chance, cuz I know the ahis come in lol.
Uk if can catch one Kawakawa near shore on south or east side😭
Thanks for all the info bradda bill.. mahalo
Is it lagal to use rc boats
It should be legal to use an RC boat. But it’s going to be difficult to use in the surf.
We too much into peacful protesting. That’s the problem with Hawaii
What about in the big island of Hawaii
We ship to the Big Island everyday, you or a parent can purchase from our website: HiFishGear.com
Correction: it’s DLNR, not DNLR. 🤙🏾
Thanks man, My wife has been correcting me on that too. Almost got it locked in my brain 🤙🏽
I guess back to kayaking line out
Sounds like you can still use an RC boat

If they banned fishing with a drone; they should also ban hunting with dogs.
Old school paddle or swim out
You don’t know what you have until it’s gone😩
