If this got a remake from Legendary and had Kong helping Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan against King Ghidorah that would probably be the best Monsterverse movie ever.🦍🦖🐛🦅🐲🐲🐲

I believe this is Godzilla's first encounter with King Ghidorah, but what puzzled me about this battle is why Godzilla didn't use his atomic breathe the moment he knew KG had gravity rays? My only explanation is that he didn't want to risk hitting Mothra and Rodan in a friendly fire.
According to the production staff at the time, this was to highlight the power of King Ghidorah's beam, since up until that point there had been no monster that could use a beam.
