What I love about Steve is he never gives in, he’s always trying to make something happen. I sat and watched him at ferry on a hard day where lots of people DNW. For most of the match his tip didn’t move! He didn’t panic, he changed he’s cast times ,changed feeders ,changed how he baited up, changed his boxers shorts and the kitchen sink while he was at it. He placed in his section that day in the last 45mins with a run of bream and skimmers so it goes to show hard work really does beat talent. If Steve gives you advice you take it. The man is just built different and has the mental stamina of a machine .
Introduced carp a fooking nitemare in OZ the annual fishing comp's & carp catchers have reduced them alot if left alone will breed up eating other good eating fish most hated fish and the canetoad
When I started out feeder fishing and fishing matches, I tought what the hell, I sent him a message , not really expecting anything, but he answered, gave me advice and started winning now and then ( bream matches) , such a legend and still takes the time... what a great guy, the best to ever do it

Quality video Steve,Under 40 minutes long and already ive learnt so much! I wanna try new things now to improve my feeder fishing aswell so thank you, great video 👍 ....Can i ask what wafters you use on them bayonets please?
Cracking watch just a quick question thou what oz tip have you got on your rod as I have a 3oz feeder and was just wondering what size carp that would handle before being pushed to it max
@@albiewilliams6830my 1.5 oz can catch double figures easy and i use the guru n-gauge feeder rod , 3oz is mainly for river fishing or using heavy feeders
Great video Steve really informative and will hopefully get me some bites on Saturday. Quick question , what size hook are you using? Sorry if I missed it in the video. My friend says to use size 16 but I’m frightened that’s too small for 7-13lb carp.
I am new to targeting Carp this year, however have been fishing on and off since I was a child. Recently mainly Fly fishing for Trout. Till now 🙂 Have noticed a couple of folks talking about the importance of feathering the feeder or weight down and feeling it hit bottom. I am Left Handed and as such have always set my rods up to play with the left hand and wind with the right. Finding trying to feather the line against the spool is difficult as the line hits my finger rather than rubbing past it. Do you think I would be better setting my reels up right handed and learning to fish this way when Carp, Corse etc fishing, I expect I will still Fly Fish Left handed though.
I am too left handed, but find with my finger resting on the lip of the spool, is just as effective. Practice i find, there is all ways a round things, good fishing
@@Oldbutnotout1 Thanks, so you reel with your right hand and are still able to feather with the line coming towards your finger on the spool. I think as you say, practice is the important thing, as with pretty much everything, thanks for the reply. Working out a way that works for me.
Went yesterday before watching this. Pretty much the same method, small 28g feeder, tiny hook on a 4 inch fluro hooklength and tiny piece of pepperami, 10 mins later 14lb carp 😁
Since I'm a returned to fishing, I started as I left off - using a float. Watching Steve and my son catch on Method/hybrid/Embedded feeders, I think its time for me to have a go. I have a Korum 11ft Float rod and will start to use that for method I think.
Moved to the US years ago where this type of fishing doesn't exist. However. I always try and sneak and day in when I come back to the UK and these videos have taught me so much. Thanks Steve and the Guru team!
Awesome video with amazing tips & insight into bait, tactics and reasons behind it. Steve you always give my fishing that edge. Thanks Steve & Guru. Tight Lines 🎣 🐟
This may be a really silly question, but when using a bait up rod and using distance sticks to clip it up how do you get it accurate, as the Guru bait up rods are 12ft in length. What do you do if fishing an 11ft feeder rod for example and the extra foot between the feeder rod and bait up rod? Cheers

Thanks 👍 Beautiful fish wasn't it :)
Very informative enjoyed that 👍 slide on...
Very clever and well thought out from an undoubtedly very good Angler, but too "industrial" for me.
Each to their own.

You only need 1oz maybe 2 max. 3oz would be good for barble etc
@paulm2143 thanks I have caught barbel on my 3 oz tip upto 8lb I just wanted to know what sort of size carp my 3oz tip would handle

Yes reel handle, right retrieve, cast left at the button end of the rod handle, bitlike the rod is at an angle across me body, left to right
@@Oldbutnotout1 Thanks for the clarification, something to try out.
Great advice Steve
Why have you got your feeding rod set up steve if your sneaking in to catch em
Watch the film, he explains

An incredible video with some amazing tips. Thank you Steve.
Always copy what Steve does but attach a leader by a overhand loop with a blood knot? 🤔
what kind of crushed boilies are you putting in your pellets mix ?

Loving your advice and tips steve you talk sense. Have changed my pleasure fishing following what you say with a great result, thankyou 🎣
Just recently started using this system and love it,trying to get farther in law on board now tho😂
Hi steve ,are there any good swims on overton or gunwade at ferry that dont require a platform to fish them?
What size quiver tip are you using with the little feeder ?
Do the bayonets work with 4mm ringers?
What size swivel do you use for the tiny method feeder
nice video, what kind of rod are you using here ?

Use the feeder rod to distance the sticks
