I've watched countless lads using the method feeder...all top anglers all giving their tips etc, all very interesting, all are fantastic tips. Mr Holland though has made it very simplistic ( by the way 40 years of fishing behind me, I've ever only fished rivers, canals and lakes in Ireland)...so carp venues are new to me. Been watching taking it in from others who fish the method) The next couple of weeks I'll be taking all you have just shewn me to my first carp venue. Not only are they great tips...you delivered it without any 'boredom' by not repeating everything and more importantly....after a couple of minutes in, I felt YOU were talking to me throughout it all....great delivery...well done Sir.
I have one of those, clip on, top of the keepnet rod rest strips & I've cut it in half & reversed it so that the hooked sides are opposite each other for fishing the left & right margins & the fish can't pull the rod in over the sloping side. I leave a gap in the middle to use as another rod rest.🎣 I also "Junior Hacksaw" the middle rib out of my method feeders & melt the sharp edges smooth with a lighter.
Glad you enjoyed it!! I just kill them with the hot tap in my house.. takes a couple of goes but they are always perfect. Soft and still a really lovely red colour! 😊
@@matchfocus I’ll give that a go Paul. I usually add some cold water and then hit them with the kettle and it still scorches them white. Thanks for the reply and happy new year to you mate
Glad you enjoyed it! Normally if I have to un clip I have the rod above me so I can use the stretch in the line to give me the time to un clip. Doesn't normally happen when fishing to the far bank as they can't really run away from you
Hi Mario, glad you enjoyed it! I just use the 1.5oz tip as I'm not casting that far but company's do sell a rod that are designed for baiting up so if it's something that you do regularly it might be worth looking in to it
Hi, it will cast a fair way but if your struggling to get the distance you require you'll want a longer/ stronger rod. Company's do now sell a bait up rod made for it
How do you avoid the carp taking your rod in when clipped up .. I had one take my rod and reel .. I had the rod eye against the front rest but rod just cartwheeled up jumped off the rest and straight into lake ! Got it back but nervous now and got locking butt rests first future sessions
And nearly the most expensive Tackle you can get. 😂 The Daiwa Certate Reel was designed for Saltwater Fishing and has not even a propper Line Clip for Feeder fishing.
I have had to switch this video off halfway because I cannot stand the way he can't seem to use the letter T in his speech. Instead of adding water to the ground bait he needs to add T to his water.
Great content, explained in explicit detail!! Much appreciated 👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it!! 😊

Great instructional video,t❤hanks. What test curve are both the rod pleas?
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure what it's rated too but it will easily cast a loaded 45g feeder!
Thank you
Great video... With the line clip if a big fish gets on the hook and wants to take line what happends?
Glad you enjoyed it! Normally if I have to un clip I have the rod above me so I can use the stretch in the line to give me the time to un clip. Doesn't normally happen when fishing to the far bank as they can't really run away from you
David Hall
Great tutorial. I always wonder why southerners can't pronounce 'water', though.
Never realised I couldn't until these videos!
Evening Paul, great video, just a question, with the bait up rod do you use a heavier tip on that rod then you actually fishing rod, thanks Mario
Hi Mario, glad you enjoyed it! I just use the 1.5oz tip as I'm not casting that far but company's do sell a rod that are designed for baiting up so if it's something that you do regularly it might be worth looking in to it
Hi Paul great explanation, when do you decide to fish groundbait on the method rather than micros? cheers
Glad you enjoyed it! Normally in shallow water groundbait is better. In deep water pellets are normally better when it's carp!
Would you ever put mags in your bait feeder Paul ? Thanks
Hi ya Paul how far will the 10ft bait up feeder will cast pls
Hi, it will cast a fair way but if your struggling to get the distance you require you'll want a longer/ stronger rod. Company's do now sell a bait up rod made for it

Got it back but nervous now and got locking butt rests first future sessions
Hi pholloway, as you said having a rear butt rest will stop that! I think it's happened to us all at some point!
Get paul to fish against Jimmy bullard great watch more please thank you for your service
Glad you enjoyed it!! 😊
Thank you , do u stay clipped up for the whole session ?
Yes, as always fishing in the same spot and it keeps you accurate :)
@@BlakesBaitsMatch thank you
Yes to keep me nice and accurate!!
What size is the bait up feeder? Thank you
It's a 20g guru bait up feeder! 😊
Get paul to fish against Jimmy bullard great watch more please thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes need to get Jimmy on one definitely!! 😊
What are F1's?
There a cross species
Chock full that lake probably cat them on on a bent pin & stale bread 🍞 🎣
48 minutes, far too long, all that bait would last me 5 days method fishing, just an advert for blakes bait
He’ll be gutted….
Its Not a Herd of Geese🪿 its a Shoal, Great Vid learnt a lot.
Geese or fish? A group of geese are called a gaggle or a skein if they are flying.👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
