You know what makes Paul most special above all his clear talent? He sings with a fkn Aussie ACCENT! Not many singers really let their "Aussie" through on their voices these days, certainly not in the pop world, some country music they do but not you Keith Suburban. Anyhow making our Aussie accent still sound sexy whilst singing is no mean feat. The blokes not singing, he's slicing up the Australian soul for you to fine dine on. 👍🏼
You should read into Paul Kelly's history. It's so storied. It's no wonder he is such a good song writer. If you want another Australian artist who is really good at communicating emotion you should check out Nick Cave's work. It's so emotive.
Paul Kelly is without fail one of the best singer/song writers of this century you really to delve into his back catalogue, From Little Things. Careless, From St Kilda, any track from the Gossip album, Wintercoat..... I could list several dozen tunes, Plus he has worked with several other artist like Neil Finn Kasey Chambers Dan Sultan AB Original oh I better stop. Just know he is bu far the best of best.

I've always put Paul and Elvis Costello in a similar category. They're not technically amazing singers but they do have a tremendous ability to draw you in, to make a connection. And obviously both are amazing songwriters.
