2021 Changing Minds Young Filmmaker Festival

On Friday, April 9, Community Access hosted our second annual Changing Minds Young Filmmaker Festival virtually. Our 2021 Festival featured the work of eight young filmmakers who, through their short films about mental health, challenge the stigma that too often surrounds mental health concerns - selected from over 700 submissions to our annual Changing Minds Young Filmmaker Competition. Following the film screenings, we were excited to welcome as guest moderator our friend Shadille Estepan of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation for an audience Q&A.
Thank you to the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund and The Isora Foundation for making this festival possible for Community Access to present this event virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
