When they were confused by the voice of the narrator and billy asked if the narrator was the "kids brother that passed away" I almost choked on my popcorn 😂😂
It’s great that Billy is doing collabs with other reactors on this platform. Seems like he really enjoys the fact that he’s got more company. May God bless him and his channel.
I believe that Izzy’s Dad is actually Corbin’s Dad in real life. Also l looked it up, looks like Keke Palmer had a background in double dutch prior to filming. Corbin Bleu was able to learn it pretty well during the month and a half of training they did for it They were able to do most of it without their stunt doubles taking over
I loved this movie so much as a kid! Not only were the jump rope tricks great, but it was also one of a small handful of early 2000s films that had an all black main cast
100% still love this movie. And I had the biggest crush on Corbin. I about had a heart attack when I saw him with his fiancé at the time on say yes to the dress. Also scared my mom who was in the kitchen because I screamed when I saw him. 😂 but I’m glad y’all had fun with it! Also, Issy’s little sister in this is Eliza in the Zombies movies. So she kinda came full circle with the dcoms lol.
Keke and the girls of the cast still know how do the routines and jump the all came to her recent birthday party which was 2000s themed and they double dutched
I remember being a kid trying to jump double Dutch, nothing was scarier than jumping in, and once you were in nothing was scarier than being in there listening to those plastic ropes flying past your head lmao
I will admit I had the biggest crush on Corbin as a kid!! 😅 This is the DCOM I saw the most, even more the high school musical! I ended up showing it to my 4 yr old and now she wants to learn to double dutch 😅 If you need more DCOM movies to roast both of the Camp Rocks are roast worthy! 😂 #bingers
Disney did these actors dirty with the script (ex: come on with the come on; he makes me holla! Watch me while i pop my collar), but still an overall fun movie.
We had a competitive jump rope team at my school called Ropes of Thunder. Plenty of boys were on it, they did most of the flips and aerial work so when I finally saw this movie it didn't make sense to me. The skill to go back and forth between backflips, front flips and springboard trampoline flips all while jumping rope and maintaining choreography is crazy so they always got their props.
This reaction was HELLA FUNNY! No honestly overall this movie is still really good, and I wanna clear something up regarding it in comparison to High School Musical. Yes both movies have the same basic setup but honestly, Jump In had better execution of said setup. Compared to HSM, it felt more mature. Also when y'all said it sounded like Corbin Bleu was singing in that one song during the montage after he finds out Rodney is homeless, that's not him, u wanna know who it is? It's Drew Seeley, the guy who was the singing voice of Troy in the 1st High School Musical movie. Fun fact for u and everyone here, the guy who choreographed the double-dutch routines in this movie also choreographed the 1st Cheetah Girls movie
9:47 it's not Corbin singing. It's Drew Seeley. He was in Another Cinderella Story with Selena Gomez. He also sang as Troy for the first High School Musical
That awkward moment when waving your hands does actually help you jump in... lol (the point is to internalize the rhythm of the ropes so you can find the entrance point)
The actress you asked about was definitely on degrassi but also the girl from mary's team who hated her routine. I always know a movie was filmed in Canada when degrassi actors start popping up out of nowhere
@@xflipjamsx you’re right! It’s Damian! I kept looking at him trying to figure out how I knew him and eventually I was like I must just remember this movie really well
I had the biggest crush on Corbin Bleu during this time and my whole family knew it. I also wish I knew how to double dutch. Soundtrack for sure slapped! That song y’all said sounded like Corbin was actually Drew Seeley who did the singing for Zac Efron in the first HSM movie.
This is one of the few Disney movies I still think is as cool as it was, when I was little. The double Dutch moves are still super impressive, and exciting to watch..
I’m so ready for this. Let’s go Jump In. Did any of you realized the little sister acts in the Zombies movies, as the best friend of Zed. Also yes Billy she’s from Degrassi. I was so happy seeing Corbin’s dad acting in this with him.
I actually learned how to do double Dutch shortly after this movie at ymca at a program they had. We did a routine as well and part of it was switching who was holding the rope
Im embarrassed to admit I remembered all these songs because Disney did a Singstar ripoff called Sing It and I played it/sang it every day specifically for this soundtrack 😩 That awful milk joke went over all our heads as a children💀
Movie still holds up not many Disney Channel Movies can say that. Thankyou for another great reaction and collab. Double Dutch Comps are more fun, ive been to a few and yea they move diff over there My request as a Christmas movie is Rise of The Guardians #bingers
Classic DCOM from the late 2000s. This makes me want to do double dutch again but I haven't done that since I was six in the first grade. I was pretty good and the only guy in my class that could do it. Billy you got to do another KeKe Palmer movie soon, Rags a Nickelodeon movie and it's a male Cinderella movie l. The music was fire and movie was fire you should watch it soon. #Bingers
Corbin was definitely a long time celebrity crush of mine. I was Keke's character the moment I learned of who he was and I'll honestly still crush on him even though he's married. T_T But I'm no homewrecker. This movie is definitely nostalgia cringe but I would love to see a Hot Chili Steppers reunion. That would be hilarious for no good reason. I've seen Corbin on a couple of things recently and he might still be able to do at least half of this stuff now lol. #Bingers: Underworld series, Blade series, A Werewolf Boy, Classic Disney Princess movies
I loved this movie. I have seen it about 30 times. I was 14 when this movie came out. I couldn't jump rope before this movie came out. Still can't do it at 30. There were two girls from Degrassi in this movie. The actress who played Jane in Degrassi and the black girl with braids played Chantay on Degrassi.
Yea Billy that white girl was from Degrassi. The other girl who quit and joined the other team because she wanted to win so badly was also on Degrassi. Corbin Bleu's real life father played his father in this
Yolanda was the reason both teams didn't come up first.(Yolanda sucks at Jump Roping) Hot Chili Steppers: Got 4th place when you were on the team, while the Dutch Dragons got 1st place Dutch Dragons: Got 3rd place when you were on the team, while the Hot Chili Steppers got 1st place
Not only foot work but your working out your core/center of balance. If you’re jumping rope for boxing practice you’re keeping your legs/arms/stomach locked and using your ankles/toes to bounce/turn in place and your wrists are rotating/drumming. If you can do that for minutes on end it’s like you’re flexing your entire body. You’ll work mostly on your calves because that’s where the force of impact is/strain, tops of the thighs from pitching your body forward or back/using your hips. And because your tip-toed your glutes are being strained meaning there’s more muscles around your hips helping your kicks follow through with weight, also means your not gonna dislocate your hips as easily. (You flip your hip over so there’s speed or you push with your foot, but that flick the pull back after the kick is what makes them land and keeps you standing with good form. Being quick able to quickly kick will be better then trying to do it slowly/wide and you’ll keep your balance because your not being slow/unsteady.) so mma fighters/kickers really like having a workout like that running on air is okay but better workouts are jumping rope/rowing/or they swim. A good thing to think about is how you’re working with gravity and forces and how your straining your ligaments vs building muscle/using muscle. Workout with light weights and high repetitions so you Secure your form and retain flexibility. If you pack a ton of muscles on in the wrong place for what’s best on your body you’re not gonna function the most effectively. So work on your entire body equally and focus on not straining/packing but small gains that matter. There’s a reason bodybuilders look one way and strongmen look another, there’s practicality for each specific genre know what your sport requires and what you can learn. Sometimes a sport you love isn’t what you’re physically built for nor what you’re gonna be the best at doesn’t mean you can’t love it tho!! There’s similar sports also that may be better for your body type/though patterns, that’s why there’s like a million different styles to martial arts. Don’t feel discouraged, be like water and flow!
