Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse - amzn.to/2u66V1J
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

that office question was brilliant! I'm unfamiliar with this filmmaker but now I'm curious to see his work! thank you again, film courage for giving me something new and interesting to look in to! cheers!
Thanks for the kind words!
Graet interview. Usually people come across autonomous. Only repeating another perspective.
Perspective is great.
But to create your own is even better.
I didn't go to film school but I really like what this guy has to say. This outlook transcends film making.
I contemplated about going to film school but I am learning so much on set without it. I am getting to a point where I don't see my need for it. I know it would help to network but thanks for the info. This definitely isn't helping me to want to go to film school lol but I am still open someday......maybe.
If you're already working on set on a regular basis, just keep working. If you want to supplement the experience you're already getting on set, there are lots of books and other resources you can use to learn more about certain departments or jobs. Depending on what you ultimately want to do in the industry, film school may or may not be the right answer for you (sound mixer vs. 1st AD vs. editor, etc.), but there's absolutely nothing wrong with just being on set as much as possible.
5:54 is probably the moment, the phrase i was needing your page to yell at me. because this is the truth of me. i have that problem. there is magic in me. but i analyze too much.
What do you wish was taught in film school?
pickup lines
Welcome to the jungle kid...35+ yrs in the game!!
Why does this look like it was filmed in the late 80s. From his hairstyle to his glasses & even his shirt. His sleeves look like there even rolled up and I can't believe there's an old camera and it looks like a gameboy next to it. 😄😄😁 was this deliberate 🤷♂️🤔

Who the hell is Evan Kidd?
some guy who talks like a girl, going up at the end of every sentence
It's in the description. Or are you asking why he's worth listening to?
@@icanrelate Nope, the description it's just text. And the worth is subjective. I asked who is he? Or have you watched/heard about (text) Son of Clowns (2016), Displacement Welcomed (2014), Stargazer (2016) or Panda Bear It (2020)?. Can you relate him, @I Can Relate?
Wow. Someone did someone a huge favor here! What a waste of time!
He continues to fail and fail and still smiles while his reputation is ash. Liking movies and knowing the formula are two different things. I'm scrappy! Just rent equipment. You don't have to be scrappy. Being scrappy is not making the best film you can make. Sounds like halfassing it. Is it a joyride or is this your best.
