@DanielAtkinsFirewood with the amount if metal you find, you are better off buying rounds cut to length. I know that isn't true, but some days it sure sounds like a good idea.
This boiler wood was dumped just before winter, I think. Wasn't the best quality to begin with, but solid where it wasn't rotted or insect damaged. Give me a few weeks to dig into the monster maple from over a year ago to see what that's like.
Saw was cutting great. Even the maple i have in my Woodyard for the last year is still solid 😉👍
Carbid saw chain is pretty sweet. Get around 10 tanks or so per sharpening on this chain.
@thefirewooddoctor : that's good. Unfortunately it won't help with me finding metal all the time.

@@thefirewooddoctor : Yes it does and I wouldn't ware out my saws 😉
My favorite thing to do work through the nasty stuff lol. Looks like the saw was cutting well. Take care and be safe.
The carbide chain is the best for dirty/rotten logs!
@@thefirewooddoctor What brand carbide chain do you use. I may have to get one based on the condition of a lot of my logs.
@OGAOutdoors Forrester.
That g372 sounds real good, having the oem carb makes a difference. How much faster is the 572xp compared to that holzfforma?
I should do a cutting speed test between those two saws soon. I have the logs, just need the time.
That would be awesome!
@zeromark202 have a lot of bundle wood splitting to do this weekend. Am out of dry bundle wood. Thank God for the ash logs that I have.
@@zeromark202 I'll be running the G372xp a lot this weekend! Will definitely get it all on video
Despite sitting for almost a year the soft maple still seemed solid on camera. Was it starting to get punky at all?
