Explain why the two (or three if you count PEI) Maritime colonies didn't join the other 13 British colonies in the new USA? There was no border then. Wouldn't New Brunswick or Nova Scotia have been just 2 more British colonies on the seaboard?
I talked to a French New Brunswicker, he told me his disdain towards the former premier because he felt he didn’t care about acadians and he was unable to actually learn French
@@ajorbista My comment was more towards the people of the province. A majority of francophones are bilingual, but only a very small minority of anglophones are bilingual. We make the effort to learn English but they don't make the effort to learn French. Every time I encounter an anglophone that makes the effort to speak French, no matter how good it is, I always thank them to make the effort.
The french were aiding the french army and weren't loyal to the British King. If left alone they probably would have done the same to the British. Its not like the french monarchy was innocent either

As an Acadian living in New-Brunswick, I wish the bilingualism was on both sides.
