2008 American League Cy Young Award Winner Cliff Lee of the Philadelphia Phillies warms up before his start against the Boston Red Sox.
Great pitcher.. I was a Game Day Employee during Cliff's stay in Philly. You knew it was going to be quick night with his pitching efforts. Quick, precise, and lights out! Thx for the memories Cliff!
Unebelievable command. Dude throws absolute darts
Crazy control for sure.
It’s like he practices
I love watching this guy pitch, even if he plays for the Phillies. He's one of the best in the league right now that can paint the corners so well. To me he's the best LHP in the league right now.
The best pitching motion ever !
Loved it!
0:44 nasty circle change
I loved Cliff Lee when he pitched.. right now I'm 30 and I see him since 2006-2014
Beautiful pitching form
My favorite pitcher to watch... wish phillies were able to capitalize on the aces they had and got another chip with him
Cliff Lee is a total class act!! Freaking awesome dude!!!
You can't help but smile hearing the sound of a ball hitting the glove
Cliff Lee absolutely hated the Yankees it seems like that's the team that really fueled him to pitch his best great pitcher when he was on
Almost midnight and I end up sitting here watching this legend warm up I’m pleasantly surprised with my night
His curveball looks like it’s in the air for so long but it’s so nasty with that sweeping action.
Nice recording Les one of my fav pitchers
I love these videos
Excellent, Cliff Lee ⚾️🔥
One of the best in the game.
Dudes filthy. No other way to describe lee. One if the best in the game
For some reason I’m seeing this in December 2020. Lee was great in his prime. Phils should have gone back to back in 08-09. Oh well.......
Puts it where he wants every pitch!
Surgical!
Yeah, when this guy was on, (which was usually...), the amount of really good hitters he caught watching strike three was the most incredible thing...
He was just so methodically w/ going inside & out, slower to faster velo (& vice versa...)...And it wasn't like the pitches were outside the zone...When hitters had strike three called on them looking...almost every one of them just went & sat down, w/o a word...
(It's like they were left speechless, w/ how he operated)...They often throw the word 'ace' around to describe a good pitcher...This guy was more than an 'ace.' Cliff Lee was a Mozart on the mound, imho...
Dan Uggla always got caught looking and got mad as hell. He was Cliff Lee’s bitch it was hilarious to see how frustrated Lee made him.
Lovin' his deception.
He is smooth.
Peak Cliif Lee and peak Eric Lindros were my favorite athletes of all time.
Makes this look so easy
Well, Cliff is now just a memory of this video now from 2013. If he pitches this pitch which is at the 12 and 13 second marks with a grip which across the seams in the exact middle of the baseball with the index and middle fingers together with only his index finger at 12 o'clock is the Cy Young Reverse Curveball and with the middle finger in the same grip is at 12 o'clock it is a Cut Fastball so, with the middle finger and the thumb on the center of the baseball only across the seams is the only true fastball there is. Let's bring you back Cliff.
That circle change is nasty
My boy!
Lee is a true Phillie. He would rather be paid less and play for the Phillies then get paid more to play for the Yankees. As bad as the Phillies are doing now I think they will have a few more great seasons in the future
This post aged bad...
I like Kershaw too, but Lee has always been my favorite.
Whatta stud. Great pitcher for my PHILLIES. And poooofff. Just like that he disappeared.
I saw Craig Kimbrel throw one last night against the Cardinals. It was practically unfair for the batter.
Omg I was sitting like 20 seats to your right
Shame they never found him
that knuckle curve at 0:56 is filthy
thats a circle changeup look at his grip.
that is a change up = =
Now looking back hearing Carl beam say Pete’s name 😭😭😭😭. Rip to both.
:(
Fact.

I wish I could do this
物凄いコントロール、、、、
nasty stuff yo

RIP Pete Frates
oh I see what you mean, my favorite pitcher throws nasty curves with all his might. Clayton Kershaw can't top Cliff Lee!
1:28 is he talking to a fan?
sick curve
at 6:00 you see him throw a nasty knuckle curve ball
Cliff Lee would have fit in well with Boston because of his hatred toward the Yankees
not bad, do they always hit the dirt after 6:00 mins of warm up?
지린다
That's a valid argument, but I'll stick with Cliff Lee.
Check out my video on the "Hinge" to learn how the pros leverage their leg in their delivery.
Dude was always cool as a cucumber 🥒
clayton kershaw owns all lefty pitcher.s
Not in the playoffs
Everything he threw was over the plate.
0:40
I would love for him to join the Yankees
Where's he playing now?
Retired for about 2 or 3 years
hop off my team bud
Anyone know that song in the background at 4:30
I forget the name of the song but I know that it’s by Florence and the Machine
I think Kershaw is better. But I most deff like Cliff Lee style better its so smooth. He like the classic lefty. Control with amazing off speed stuff.
클리프리 포시에서 더 빛나는데 팀이 작년부터 맛이갔음ㅠ
sorry but clayton kershaw is the best in the league bro
Lee was better
After what yankee fans had done to his wife? No chance in hell, Jose.
What!! Please rise...and remove your hat? For what?? The national anthem?!?! Noooo... Can't be!
In Korea, People call him as "Lee Sonsang(Teacher)"
