Is it just me or do some of the shinies look better in this game than they did in past games? The Jang-Mo line in particular.

@@RokkTheRock It's not purely textures, the colors have improved a lot. Kommo-O's ugly pink is much better now. Dragonite used to be puke green a few gens back, and it's actually quite decent now. Same for Noivern and many more.

Pity that the Legendaries and Story Oriented Pokemon are Shiny Locked. I would've loved to get my hands on Shiny Forms of the Loyal Trio and Blood Moon Ursaluna.

Shiny color isn't their choice it's a program they explain this in a old vid on here the issue is the original colour tbh in some cases

in battle, ogerpon always has her mask. so if you start an battle, look away for a second and hear a shiny sparkle, look back and there’s a shiny on the field along with an ogerpon, you don’t know if the ogerpon is or isn’t shiny. schrodinger’s ogerpon.

I'll say this much: I've had a sense of relief of finding other shinies ever since I intentionally waded through a Sinistea outbreak, squinting for almost twenty minutes and finally found that pink cup. The Shinies that are hard to tell apart I skipped after that.😂
Fun Fact: Because I had a shiny base Ursaluna before the DLC released, my Pokédex registered the Blood Moon Ursaluna as an obtained shiny.
i don't know if they were always like that, but shiny gengar and garchomp seem easier to spot than i through, especially compared to slowpoke and the mouses, is it because they got changed, or cause i have a good eyesight?
I noticed it too, Either they got changed to be more greyish or the new lighting/texture system is doing them a favour. (Imo, I think they got changed, because ghastly and haunter's shinies seem to be the same)
Dark blue/purple and black/dark grey look very similar in sprite art but they’re much easier to see on the 3D models. Whereas slowpoke and maushold basically do not change in the slightest.
It's because the models are no longer washed out quite so much. Since gen 6 the models they've been using are more dull than the splash art and the sprites

i've noticed they gave a lot of gen 8 pokemon regionals, as a matter of fact, they gave regionals to ONLY gen 8 pokemon
i think we can expect eiscue, stonjourner and alcremie to get regionals in the next update
They've only shown the Sinistcha line 2 evolutions for the entire DLC, Archaludon isn't in Teal Mask and Dipplin can use eviolite so it has an evo in Indigo Disc too. (Do I give datamine spoilers?)

@@DeZeCrATioN Pretty sure you can rename other Pokémon at any time you'd like to by going into their summary and pressing the Change Nickname button... Does it really not work?
@@curiouscreator8806 renaming works with mons you caught yourself. And once with a traded mon as long as it's from a link trade of the same country. Even mons you imported from pokemon Go can be renamed, but also only once. However with any event pokemon it wasn't possible. Not even Mew.

i had caught an ekans just five steps away from where i accidentally crashed my miraidon into the shiny i didn't knew it was shiny, with the reload of the game i was able to find it again and catch it.

Are the alolan forms for ninetails and the spiky yellow guy (i forget his name) in the game now too?
As long as their base form is available, regional variants are as well. So, yeah, A.Ninetails and I'm guessing you mean A.Sandslash are available. The regional variants aren't catchable (besides the Hisuian Growlithe Perrin gives you) but you can transfer them in. Just a heads up, if you want a pokemon that gets a regional form evolution, like Raichu, they won't become their alternate form, but that might change in the Indigo Disk since they showed A.Raichu and A.Exeggutor. Also, you can breed to get regional variants, but the form you want to breed needs to hold an everstone. So, if you want to breed an A.Golem with a Ditto to get a baby A.Geodude, the Golem needs to hold an everstone, otherwise it'll come out as an OG Geodude.

Once you get a certain number of pokemon in the region's dex, go up to the camera girl, and talking to her will start the mission to get it.

They're trying their best.
I think one of the reasons why they make some shinies barely noticeable is because they want them to be more of a challenge to find naturally... don't blame them, there's still a way to tell a difference between barely noticable shinies... by looking closely enough.
When I first found a shiny Raichu while visiting Area Zero, I literally had to look at another Raichu in the background to prove it was shiny. It was, of course. I've now gotten a total of 3 shiny Raichu in one save. I've already got enough shiny Raichu, so uhhhh...

all legendary pokemon and bloodmoon ursaluna are indeed shiny locked but if you want to see a shiny bloodmoon ursaluna in your dex you just need to bring a regular shiny ursaluna into your game like how a shiny hisuian zorua unlocks the shiny original zorua in your dex

They aren't even in the Kitakami (Teal Mask) Pokédex, hence why they weren't shown.

Honestly, shinies in this generation are the absolute worst. It's barely worth shiny hunting in S/V at all. They started doing this horrible thing since SM/USUM where some shinies have no changes except one color, and it seems like ever since then that's just the new norm. Not to mention the abundance of ones that barely change, or shit like komala and tinkaton. They are hardcore ruining shinies.

This is random, but today I found a shiny phantump, and asked my friend to evolve it, (it evolves through trade) and by some awful stroke of misfortune, someone else was using that same link code, and I wasn’t paying attention, I asked if he got it and if it had been traded back, and then I realized, if anyone here was using the link code 1818 1818 on September 19 2023, DUCK YOU (in all seriousness though, I hope he’s having a good time with a trevenant and didn’t think it was hacked and release it) the sad part is that trevenant is like my second favorite shiny Pokémon ever! I love it, if I find another phantump, I’ll let the 2 people reading this know
