13:13 "This is the rich man's worldtimer because I saved about 30 grand buying this". Smart, reasonable, creative and humble, i.e., pure class. This is why TGV has the most successful watch channel on youtube.

And living in a caravan is the rich mans mansion as you saved over a million dollars, what idiotic logic.

This would be a great series. The vintage watch market is so much fun. And like you mentioned this is a weird segment full of risk but it’s also full of fun pieces that you can just wear and enjoy for their uniqueness. It would be fun to learn about more pieces available at different price points.

I love an old watch, they remind me of simple times when my father was off to work and the last thing he would slap on his wrist right after his wedding ring! He's been retired for some time, however he continues to sport his love for watches and enjoys them to this day... He will be 82 in July this year!
Thanks for the history lesson and Horoligy on these fine time pieces!
Mucho success on you new Endeavors with watch box, but you do realize HUGO is the Star of your channel! Lol, great content and media my friend!

I myself have a 1978 Hamilton Field Watch that's still in my work rotation. I regulated it myself and now it's pretty spot on and no longer "slow".
We got a new kid in the network team who kept being late...
"Boy, the watch on my wrist is older than you and yet keeps track of time better than you do."
    He didn't last long.

Great take on some classic watches TGV! I have 6 Benrus Vietnam watches I have been buying over the last 3 years. The prices as you said can be extremely cheap but some insane around $1000+US!😱Thankfully I got in before they took off. Maybe I pushed the prices up🤣 I am a fanatic Steve McQueen fan & suffice to say my Benrus matches my ‘68 GT390 Fastback Mustang. 😎 Also I have the almost identical Bulova you bought. I love the Art Deco look. Such a classy, classic watch. I collect vintage along with new. Too much choice on all fronts! Thx for the vid!👍🏼

Great video TGV, I especially love the Benrus. I love watches of this era that have a parkerized finish. I know you're likely not a big fan of firearms, but it's worth noticing the early M-16s issued to Soldiers and Marines in the Vietnam War also had a parkerized finish so in a way they matched the watches that many of them wore in the field. I'm a history buff so I can't help but notice things like that.

Elated you’ll be keeping up the channel. I’ve been with you since the good old days of 50,000 followers and here you are at 300k!, ( WatchBox seems measly at around 100k in comparison). Your content is still fresh and relatable. This has always been your gift: approachable tastes yet aspiring for just a little more. While you slobber Homer Simpson-like over over the new merchandise available to you, don’t forget your roots and the thorough nature of your reviews- i.e. living with the watch before offering your opinion. This was an important distinction between you and other channels and what made you special. Keep up the excellent work and may good fortune continue to find you.

Great video! I know this has nothing to do with horology but, I like the beat in your intros. Did you made the beat, or is it a sample of some kind? Anyways, back to the watches. I think they're great finds and bargains. Love the channel, keep moving onwards and upwards!!!

A sweet spot ….I remember as a child my first watch was a ..Unicorn Automatic, and a hand wind Unicorn Incabloc. These watches and your passion have ignited and jogged my memory of the watches I’ve had….the Omega Railmaster , has an interest for me also, as my great grand father worked as a Railway employee, who I am researching. The Omega Railmaster is still on my shopping list.

Thank you for the video. I do not have any experience when it comes to hunting vintage watches. Maybe my next watch.
Also, would also like a video that recommends bronze watches.
    Cheers

🇬🇧 Great video once again. I would really like your Omega WW2 Pilots Watch, just not seen one that is any good and original.

Hey TGV not really realted but just had a question in regards a watches I have been looking at.
Its the Revue Thommen Air Speed XL, 16071.6874. I liked it because its similar to the Breitling Avenger and same valjoux, but more in my price range.
I am not familiar with the company other then i know they make aircraft parts and watches since the 1800s but am i going to regret the purchase.
they don't seem to have a main site so not sure who would service if needed or i could just take to anyone that has valjoux watches.
    Thanks and love the channel.
