You are the Efficiency Expert of fragrances! I have grown so tired of sitting through 15-40 minute videos where maybe a dozen perfumes are evaluated. Typically, I'd need to sit through the sniffing, moaning, eye-rolling, then some adjectives, then more sniffing and moaning, a few more superlatives, giggles and a few more repeat adjectives to finish. Instead, you beautifully sum up what needs to be said about each fragrance in a way that helps me learn more about the subject, as well as grow in my appreciation, so thank you!
I want to thank you for the recommendations on Levant. As a New Orleans woman I don’t often order perfume from Europe. I’m so glad I did. On the first day I wore Levant I was told I smelled great by 4 strangers 😂. I don’t always get complements and I don’t get more than a few. So Thank You 😊

I'm so confused as to why YSL would launch Babycat in 2022 and discontinue it when it's so popular. I can't find it in the US other than second hand & wildly expensive.
I think Red roses from jo Malone is very underrated parfum and it’s ok with me because I smell so unique and beautiful. The trail of red roses is very beautiful, feminine and pure fresh rose, I smell so good!!!
I just opened Ormond Jayne "Lavant". I ordered from Europe before I saw this video and I it is my favorite fragrance in my collection. I love it as much or maybe more than Armani Rouge Malachite, Musc Noir , Gris Dior and BDK Gris Charnel. I want to try Glossier "YOU" because you made it sound so great. I do think Lavant is similar to Fleur Narcotique by Exnihlo, but Lavant is stronger. Thank you for your videos!! Baby Cat is hard to find in New York and Paradise Riviera is very sold out.
In my opinion these are similar (or have similar vibes) to Rouge Malachite: Marfa Memo, YSL Supreme Bouquet, Oros by Armaf. My personal favorite is Oros & I feel it’s the strongest & lasts the longest, which can also be its downfall as it can get a bit headache-inducing & loud, louder than Alien I’d say😂 I don’t think I’m gonna repurchase it, but I like the idea of it 😂 The other 3 are softer & smell more organic 😂 Overall I’d still choose Oros above them. You can always wear less or layer it.
I bought Rouge Malachite after seeing it featured in your more recent videos and... I very much dislike it. Unfortunately I find it too floral and tart and just not my taste. Anyway I'm leaving a comment because it does somehow remind me of one of my favourites Amouage Honour (mine is from 2011, I know they brought out a newer 2021 version that I haven't sampled) so I wondered what you thought of that one.

For Rouge Malachite, I found a really close dupe that’s actually marketed for men. It’s from a Azerbaijan house called Pilot 65, and the perfume is called Ambitious Pour Homme. It’s really the same as Rouge Malachite at a fraction of the cost.
I love several of these, particularly Levant and NR Musc Noir, heavenly! I sampled scherzo and unfortunately didn’t work. On my skin it’s very dry and strong - almost smells like corn chips? Lol I’m not sure which ingredient but it was off putting. I’d say sample before you buy on that one, ladies.
I am on the hunt for Levant now! I’ve added a ton of heavier fall/winter fragrances and now need to shift to fresher florals for spring. It doesn’t stay cold for too long in Los Angeles!
You’ll have to try Vanagloria as Babycat is being discontinued. Both created by Dominique Ropion. He actually created Vanagloria first and they smell pretty similar but Vanagloria is softer and has more vanilla.
@@ladyYeniel all the European stores are out of stock. People have shared sales associated told them it’s discontinued and screenshots with ysl customer service saying it’s been discontinued. Some people think maybe it’s going to be reformulated since this has happened before with another one from the line.
I had heard this too, and also heard how similar Vanagloria was to BC. I bought it and they really are incredibly similar. I have a 10ml decant of Babycat so I sprayed it on one wrist, and my new Vanagloria on the other. I prefer the opening of Vanagloria because it’s not as intensely leathery as BC, but I slightly prefer the dry down of BC because it’s a little more incensy. However….go buy Vanagloria, it’s ‘almost’ identical and you definitely won’t be disappointed. ❤
I don't get good enough performance from original GC for winter wear, I actually wear it on hotter summer days. I think that Amouage attar was 12ml, but might've been 10ml too - really don't remember.

Honestly, I have both PDM Rosee and Original, the rosee mellows to a scent exactly like Chloe Rose, whilst the Orig dies down to Lancome La vie est belle. If u are looking for cheap alternatives go for those. I am still searching for my unique scent… 😢 Even Killian dont be shy smelt like a kiwi cologne from my childhood worth $3. Baccarat rouge has dupe cloud by ariana. I just want that one fragrance that’s unique, sexy and feminine, fresh yet musky, and sophisticated. I did love Ange ou demon by Givenchy but they discontinued it and it doesnt last long ughhhh
Also glossier You is same same with Versace Yellow crystal. PDM Oriana smells like Prada Kiss. So much more i noticed smelling the same, let me know if u want more…
I bought 2 samples from Ormonde Jayne based on your recommendations: Ta'if and Tanger. I have certainly smelled hundreds of perfumes in my life, but these 2 took my breath away. As you spoke about Rouge Malachite as the creamiest white florals, for me Ta'if is the creamiest rose I have ever smelled. And of course, Tanger resembling BR 540, but probably even better. I really must explore Ormonde Jayne more... I also have Aerin based on your recommendation. Hibiscus Palm is fine, but I think I reached for the Mediterranean Honeysuckle more. And Amber Musc is a dream, I am scared to spray it. Have you tried Isnard Fleur de Grasse? It is a beautiful clean jasmine with green tea note. Armani Prive Vert Malachite is also a very pretty green vanilla jasmine. From white florals mixture I like Oud Jaune Intense, but I know it is a bit heavy. P. S. M. Micallef Royal Muska is another musc fragrance which melts me 🤪

And I feel like Hypnotic Poison and Pure Poison Elixir also fit the bill? I feel like these are very underrated because they are under the shadow of the original Poison, so people tend not to try them at all :p

I'm on the hunt for a new signature sent. I tend to buy the same over and over again but my most recent splurge got me cold feet about trying new sents. Byredo Mojave ghost. I love the sent but it lasts like 1 hour. Gypsy stays on so much better. I want something fresh, everyday, office scent. My go-tos are: Byredo gypsy water. Although I don't have Rouge malachite, according to Fragrantica and because I have both (which in my opinion are very similar) I strongely recomend you Woman Intense from Ralph Lauren. I think it has been discontinued but maybe you can find it online. It is one of my favourites from around 300 perfumes in my collection. I hope you can get it, I think you would love it. I finally have a decent of Babycat. It is very good. Leather at first and it resembles That #5 perfume- Rosendo. But then it changes and the vanilla peaks through and a sweet, subtle touch of incense which is very much more subtle than that in Encens Suave. After it's on my skin a while it smells curiously like bread dough to me- not in s bad way- I was just surprised. Since I have a nice decant, I will stick with my still-beloved Lune Feline. My top ten are: Le Lion Lune Feline Vanilla 28 Malesia Hibiscus Palm Dua'a Princess Therapy Histoire D'Eau Cuir de Nuit (or SDV if I ever get it) Ylang In Gold Santal Piano

You’ll have to try Vanagloria as Babycat is being discontinued. Both created by Dominique Ropion. He actually created Vanagloria first and they smell pretty similar but Vanagloria is softer and has more vanilla.

@@ladyYeniel all the European stores are out of stock. People have shared sales associated told them it’s discontinued and screenshots with ysl customer service saying it’s been discontinued. Some people think maybe it’s going to be reformulated since this has happened before with another one from the line.

I had heard this too, and also heard how similar Vanagloria was to BC.
I bought it and they really are incredibly similar. I have a 10ml decant of Babycat so I sprayed it on one wrist, and my new Vanagloria on the other. I prefer the opening of Vanagloria because it’s not as intensely leathery as BC, but I slightly prefer the dry down of BC because it’s a little more incensy.
However….go buy Vanagloria, it’s ‘almost’ identical and you definitely won’t be disappointed. ❤
I don't get good enough performance from original GC for winter wear, I actually wear it on hotter summer days. I think that Amouage attar was 12ml, but might've been 10ml too - really don't remember.

It got me thinking it could be a great idea if you ever get time to do some videos on specific fragrance notes. I’m really trying to find the perfect gardenia fragrance and fig. Honestly, I have both PDM Rosee and Original, the rosee mellows to a scent exactly like Chloe Rose, whilst the Orig dies down to Lancome La vie est belle. If u are looking for cheap alternatives go for those. I am still searching for my unique scent… 😢

I bought 2 samples from Ormonde Jayne based on your recommendations: Ta'if and Tanger. I have certainly smelled hundreds of perfumes in my life, but these 2 took my breath away. As you spoke about Rouge Malachite as the creamiest white florals, for me Ta'if is the creamiest rose I have ever smelled. And of course, Tanger resembling BR 540, but probably even better. I really must explore Ormonde Jayne more...
I also have Aerin based on your recommendation. Hibiscus Palm is fine, but I think I reached for the Mediterranean Honeysuckle more. And Amber Musc is a dream, I am scared to spray it.
Have you tried Isnard Fleur de Grasse? It is a beautiful clean jasmine with green tea note. Armani Prive Vert Malachite is also a very pretty green vanilla jasmine.
From white florals mixture I like Oud Jaune Intense, but I know it is a bit heavy.
P. S. M. Micallef Royal Muska is another musc fragrance which melts me 🤪

I have not smelled Rouge Malachite, but somehow in the way you are describing it, it reminds me of Deep Red by Hugo Boss? And I feel like Hypnotic Poison and Pure Poison Elixir also fit the bill? I feel like these are very underrated because they are under the shadow of the original Poison, so people tend not to try them at all :p

I bought Scherzo blinbly after your videos and I'm absolutely OBSESSED with it. It is seriously SO SO GOOD. I need to be careful because I only got the 14ml. But girl I'm absolutely in love with this perfume and I'm getting the 100ml as soon as I can afford it. There is really nothing like it.

Although I don't have Rouge malachite, according to Fragrantica and because I have both (which in my opinion are very similar) I strongely recomend you Woman Intense from Ralph Lauren. I think it has been discontinued but maybe you can find it online. It is one of my favourites from around 300 perfumes in my collection. I hope you can get it, I think you would love it.

I finally have a decent of Babycat. It is very good. Leather at first and it resembles That #5 perfume- Rosendo. But then it changes and the vanilla peaks through and a sweet, subtle touch of incense which is very much more subtle than that in Encens Suave. After it's on my skin a while it smells curiously like bread dough to me- not in s bad way- I was just surprised. Since I have a nice decant, I will stick with my still-beloved Lune Feline.

I have to admit I was a little sad when you didn’t tell us to spread the fragrant love at the end. 😅 I wish I loved Babycat and Rouge Malachite, but they’re not for me. That’s why it’s so great that there are endless choices! I love Gris Charnel lately, Safanad, Alien Goddess Intense, and Bouquet Encore. I hope to add L’eau D’Hiver soon. I also bought several others over the holidays to enjoy, and my collection is growing! Ack!
