Finally, someone that I can relate to a little more! I also take a lot of medicine everyday for personal reasons, and I've never heard of any kpop star that does. It makes me feel a little more normal to be honest.
There's a few idols with medical conditions that I can think of. I know that anemia isn't uncommon for idols, and the ones who have it tend to suffer a whole bunch, and do take a lot of medicine. Here are a few idols with medical conditions that I remember from the top of my head: Twice's Nayeon was in an accident when she was younger, which now causes her leg to completely collapse at random making her fall seemingly out of nowhere. Twice's Momo suffers from the cognitive effects of a head injury, which has basically worsened her memory, language and communication, information processing and reasoning. Exo's Lay has hemophilia IU suffered from bulimia Lee Joon has bipolar disorder I'm not exactly sure who out of these takes medication though. When it comes to idols who take medication, I assume it's a very large amount, due to the incredible amount of stress and pressure that their bodies have to endure. They are probably expected to keep quite about medical conditions as to not draw criticism to companies for pushing them so far despite health concerns.

As for not getting into twice, I think the reason is because she is too young at that time. It makes sense because even while promoting with ioi, somi could not perform in certain country due to underage.

Natty was one of the finalists as well but she lacked on vocals during Sixteen and she's very young to debut too...
I was rooting for Somi and Dahyun in Sixteen, but since Somi was lacking in dance compared to the others, it wouldn't have been a good fit. After debuting it can be difficult to find time to sharpen your skills. It all turned out well in the end though!

It was used with the thought of making Somi feel bad, so saying that she's a crossbreed would of course be more hurtful than the word biracial, simply because, like you said, crossbreed is a word used for animals and not humans. Tzz K nah I think that was the thing she didnt do the best in but was still very good and fast learner. It was probably the only made up excuse they could use to not let her join. Like I saw how they dance, for example I love Dahyun, she is great at variety shows, funny and she does rap and dance mainly but if you saw how she first dance, the good thing about her dancing is that shes very sharp but obviously not as fluid or skillful of a dancer as momo. I would definitely say Somi is a better dancer than her maybe some other twice members, but all twices dances are quite doable so and main focus is to be in sync with one another which everyone is capable of. If you look at the members past skills/history I think it played a role in them making it in even if it wasnt specifically for being Korean idols. Like Dahyun doing eagle dance and Mina doing ballet, Tzuyu's beauty, etc.
