What a wonderful little snorkel. So glad it's possible to install without drilling huge holes in the body. And DIY friendly too!
Yes indeed, drilling into your car is not a fun experience.
Appreciate you nicely explaining it. No rush video ❤
Thank you 😊
You make great videos I like to watch them. One question what is the orange block on the ECU base plate?
Thank you, the orange block is part of the Des Sol differential breather kit. Fits very neatly mounted there, Des Sol make great Jimny mods.
Does it provide enough air flow?
Is it ok to remove the resonator fitted to the stock air intake pipe ?
During rain, cant water enter al these holes?
We have not experienced any issues with rain, all snorkels have air intake plates.
I'm also looking for the same question is it safe for the engine while parked outside in rain
Nice job. I was thinking about bravo snorkel, but this looks better. Is it watertight? Gonna instal breathetkit? No sock anti dust available? Is it sold in europe maybe?
Hi, we are still testing it ourselves the positives is that it has been used quite widely in Aus for a few months with positive feedback, and for us their climate is similar to ours. You can contact Jimny Wild, he has a lot of knowledge in the development of the kit. Www.jimnywild.co.za
I was wondering this too. I'm not intending to do hard-core rock scrambling, and only regard being off-road as a means to an end for bushwalking, camping, and forest immersion... but that does involve a lot of dust, corrugations and water crossing on occasion, and knowing the snorkel is watertight against heavy splashback or waves being stirred up from deeper but not insane water crossings would be a big comfort.
Hi, on the snorkel side so it's no longer possible to fit the bonnet support gas spring, isn't it? I can see the ball head screw still fitted on that side. Thank you
Hi, that is correct, but we still use the one on the other side and have not had an issue, it seems to be adequate.
Even with following this process shown the pipe/coupler touches the Master Cylinder. This is simply dangerous as there should be substantial clearance in the engine bay between anything attached to the engine and anything else stationary as the engine moves. There is a reason why the factory air inlet hose is so flexible. I will have to return the snorkel unless anybody else have found another solution to connect.
Over time we have done quite a bit of experimenting with adjustments, there is a playoff between creating the gaps at the reservoir and at the air con pipe versus slight vibration either on start or on the brake pedal. If you can find the sweet spot then you are sorted.
We have also now got 2 small support brackets in, which help keep the pipe in a lifted position resulting in good gaps and no vibration, after some months experimenting this is still working well for us.
We are happy with the snorkel, looks good and no noticable loss in performance.
any rattles coming from the a-pillar (neck of the snorkle)?
None at all, it sits a little away from the a-pillar.
@@fooshadventurethanks for confirming mate.
Does this design suck in water into the air box when driving in rain ?!
Not from our experience. We are also careful when washing the car 😉
Can the bonnet gas strut be refitted after the snorkel install or is it permanently deleted?
Hi, no it can't but the bonnet works perfectly with just the gas strut on the other side.
Hi, can I know how many euros are R4,871.00 that I would like to buy, thanks
Hi, at today's exchange rate that is 240 Euros.

sud africa ??
Yes that's correct
Is the snorkel accepted by the EU regulations….Germany?
Hi, we are not familiar with the EU regulations.
-17hp 😢
Actually -1. Tested it on the dyno
Does it provide enough air flow?
No, a bit less. For more air u need a forward looking Snorkel.
