  • On todays Episode, we are back with our Second Day and final video on Meguiars MotorEx 2024 Car Show at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Melbourne Victoria. We cruise around more amazing cars in the Show Pavilion, as well as the Elite Pavilion's.
    Trash's 1963 VW Kombi
Our first interview is with Trash, as he is known by his mates. Trash owns a very cool 1963 VW Kombi van called CHOOFN. This van is awesome, It holds onto its originality but also boasts some custom touches that fit right in. the interior has the stock feel up front but with a limo inspired wrap around seat in the middle section that welcomes you in through double barn doors on the side. The paint is two tone, white on top and a factory green on the bottom witch has had some D.N.A pearl applied over the top in the clear coat. The engine has been worked up to a 2 litre with cams and other goodies for a bit of performance. And then theirs the concept behind the build. CHOOFN number plates and a big dope leaf to replace the original VW badge up front. Being a 1960's van Trash wanted to build an ode to that time when these vans were the go to mode of transport for many free spirited people of the time. Trash did say he was a little nervous at first but he has had nothing but positive feed back and to my reckoning it was a crowd favourite for shore.
Tim's XY Ford Falcon GT - Surfer Roo
Then we catch up with Tim for a quick chat about his XY Falcon. Tim found this car 7 tears ago and it needed a lot of work. it had some bad rust in the floors and sills but in his words it was a straight car, Meaning it hadn't been in an accident so it was worth the effort to rebuild it. Its great to see the end result with this car. It is immaculate. done to GT spec with Surfer Orange paint and illumines GT stripes. Running a strong 351 this car makes all the right sounds while he is cruising.
Phil's 1985 Peter Brock Group A Commodore - Blue Meanie
Next we talk to Phil about his 1985 Brock Group A Commodore. This car is an original unmolested car and presents beautifully. Phil really knows the history of these cars and talks about there journey from the Holden factory and beyond. sporting its factory Formula Blue paint and Cerulean trim this car takes you right back to 1985.
Scott's HX Holden 1 Tonner - INZANE (Sorry For Put HZ in Title Scott)
lastly we talk to Scott about his 1973 HX one tonner. He bought this car a few years back and wasn't happy after 12 month's so he decided to take it off the road and give it a rebuild. there was some work done from the previous owner and it was a nice car but Scott wanted more. the chassis has been smoothed and it has a tilt up tray witch shows off some airbrushing on the bed of the tray. Theirs custom trimmed seats and a D.N.A Cherry Black Candy paint job. The engine is a 454 big block that's been taken out to 468CI with alloy heads and a hydraulic roller cam. Turbo 400 and 9 inch diff.
On top of all this, there is a lot more to look at as we cruise around the show.

Blows me away the amount of money some people spend on these cars - I'm thankful that do however as they are all awesome!
