We need the turnip mans final episode. we've been hanging for soooooooooo long.
I'm a beginner, and was thinking that the process of building a character would be easier if I had more knowledge. Now I realize it is more difficult. So I don't need to kick myself for taking forever to complete something. :) Thank you for these tutorials. Trying to learn all this stuff by accident would have taken years, if ever.
Drawing anything, especially in vector, takes a lot of time. Don't try to go fast or feel bad if it takes you days to complete small details. It's totally normal

Sounds amazing. Can't wait to learn also with affinity photo (from you :) ). Did you switched from adobe photo/illustrator? Many people says affinity can't be compared to adobe, but I have read only about few features that are missing in affinity programs. Also there will be affinity publisher as alternative for indesign and I cant wait for it.

You definitely make the most user friendly tutorials I've seen so far. Not just explaining the program but explaining a real world example and the whole process. Will you publish the finished drawing? Would love to print it. Your signature is missing.
The original sketch would be nice too to follow the whole tutorial step by step.

Thanks for the video- I try to digitalize one of my characters as well, but I find it pretty hard to mimic my drawing style with the pencil tool, when it comes to the details. What are the (dis)advantages of using the brush tool instead? Would love to hear your opinion on that.

You can do exactly the same thing in Illustrator indeed. I'm not sure how Illustrator handles the different layers and the filling option, but I'm sure it's pretty similar.
