its going ahead however until the individual intellectual properties example a potential 007 soundstage similar to The bourne stuntacular have been mapped out and signed off to show what is going where it will be pretty much a waiting game but the guessing is that there is somewhere proudly sitting on a desk an encased model of what will transpire .
At this stage there will be a lot of soil sampling, ground testing, water course mapping etc. The site will probably need to be cleaned up after years of industrial use, which is why rewilding of this site is not a practical solution.
love these updates, and although atm the updates we get are juat general site reviews, i personally feel we have more indepth ones to come because i personally feel that they have already made a decision ti go ahead with the park but are just keeping tight lipped for now until everything is given the ok from goverment and the site surveying etc. I also wouldnt be surprised if theyve already got people working on the design and layout of the park and already have a list of the attractions etc they are planning on putting in our park. Its such an exciting time, im from Hull, but its so exciting to think that we could our very own universal studios here that i could go to for a weekend away and get a 2 day pass for the weekend, would be awesome...id even consider an annual pass like, they do in florida etc, which is crazy to think 😊😊. Attraction wise, i think it makes sense to have some sort of james bond stunt attraction like bourne show in orlando.
Thanks LordTeaBelly, great name. Yes it's just general right now as there is not a great deal going on but if this goes ahead I will try to make each video more specific to a certain topic. I'm sure there will be a lot to cover over the coming years to keep me busy.
Regarding the Wixams Station, I believe the Bedford Borough Council notes said that if Universal theme park goes ahead, the government is expected to pick up the tab for a 4 platform station rather than the 2 platform funded by the council & the developers of Wixams.
Yes I think they will or Universal will. They have mentioned that they will be happy to fund infrastructure. The problem is if the government start paying for too much then Merlin (or other attractions) will start asking for things too.
I am 10% this project will go ahead. Yes they have brought the land but it's so easy to sell it of. I can not see Universal Studios being built in the UK.
Yes I will be able to, I hold the relevant certification and insurance to fly larger drones closer. Once they announce the park is going ahead I will upgrade the drone to one with a zoom lens so I can capture the same footage without getting too close.
I don't know much about what lives in that lake. Around this area you get frogs, newts, fish although I don't think that lake has ever been stocked with fish so nothing special. Pretty standard stuff.
I wonder how much universal coming here would effect the other Theme parks and Blackpool pleasure beach, my guess is hugely negatively. The casual customer which is huge market for them might only go to 1 theme park a year so if that becomes Universal then the others have big problems. You can see all the others spending large amount of rides a lately so they are already trying to combat this competition. I did read somewhere that Universal want double the revenue of all the current theme parks put together and going for an open all year round park. So much speculation haha
There are a million places that would suit being re-wilded more than here. It's an abandoned industrial wasteland and has been for decades. Nobody will pay to remove the concrete and re-wild so this is the best thing that could happen here. Universal will be very careful about what they do.
@@ProjectUniversalUK Im not saying they shouldnt build but with a nearby water source it would be great for wildlife and lets be honest, literally everywhere is suitable for being rewilded, the entire world was once natural but people will always make excuses.

They will already have a plan almost ready to go

Bearing in mind the council probably have signed NDAs so most probably their is information they’re not telling us
That is true
I think that is highly likely.
They have signed a NDA, watched the council meeting this morning.

I'd go 90%
there is work currently building work where the old pub was on the Woburn Road??? 52°05'57.3"N 0°30'31.3"W
It's a power storage facility. It's un-related to Universal Studios.
once they start construction, are you still able to get drone footage? I have no idea about drone laws but i hope so because that'd be so exciting
Yes I will be able to, I hold the relevant certification and insurance to fly larger drones closer. Once they announce the park is going ahead I will upgrade the drone to one with a zoom lens so I can capture the same footage without getting too close.
They may make the decision in august or later this year
We hope!
Shame they don’t have that lake too. Nice footage
It is a lovely lake. I'm sure whoever owns it will make something off it. It would make a great water sports facility.
How deep is the water and what kind of aquatic lives there.

@@ProjectUniversalUK Thanks.
Thanks for turning off the wobbly bit 🤣
You are welcome.

Ofc it will have an impact but I think they will adapt.
Any else like a professional waffle, 😂 it must be hard to do,respect, what a pro 😊. It's happening and that's that's, cheers buddy again
I can talk crap naturally.
@@ProjectUniversalUK brilliant though
Hulabaloo !
That's the one.

Opening any new major attraction in the UK is hindered by the British weather. Universal studios UK for that reason can never match those in the US
The weather we definitely cannot compete with.
Never gonna happen.
Have faith!
