Foxes Mating

One early January morning two urban foxes mated in my garden. After mating they were locked together for 35 minutes. It's called a mating tie and the same thing happens with domestic dogs. It's thought that by preventing the vixen from mating with another suitor, the male fox increases the chances of passing on his genes.
