Love the video! I'm a retired Porsche tech and I still have my text book from highschool (I'm 63 years old now). My highschool shop teacher always stressed the brakes are the MOST IMPORTANT system on the car, and I still concur. I always try and pass this on to the younger generations. Thanks for the video!
Akebono from Rockauto is the preferred pad for all our vehicles. Found some S hooks in the garden section of Dollar tree, they work great for hanging calipers.
I tried ''deal-of-the-week'' Chineseum rotors in the past...NEVER again...I also use Zimmermann on my BMW . Very interesting and well presented video. I always clean my new rotors with brake cleaner before installation because I read they often apply a protective coating for shipping ...Pelican , FCP Euro and Rock Auto are great ( but don't look at shipping costs, exchange rate and custom fees $%&*&?%)...Thanks again for the video !
@1983dmd "Deal of the week Chinesum" - nice! 😄 You just secured the comment of week award with that one - haha. Glad to hear you've been using Zimmers on your Bimmer too. Yep, getting German car parts from the US is getting pricy, but still better (most of the time) than up here in the Great White North. I've used Pelican for years and try to save up/stock up parts orders for once a year if possible to combine one big order which at least saves on shipping. Heard FCP Euro is also very good with their lifetime warranty on most parts. Never used RockAuto yet. Have had pretty good success & pricing with Parts Avatar here in Canada as well, but of course not nearly the same selection as the US. Thanks as always for watching - appreciated 🙂
@@Rchelicopterfun FCP Euro just announced today that they have ''significantly'' reduced their shipping costs for Canada and international...Will check that on next order.
