My favorite part about this boss is how it really shows how careless Sweetheart is, and how unintelligent the average sprout mole is. This creature was camping out, presumably for a VERY long time, in front of the entry and exit to Sweetheart's kingdom, and she did nothing about it. Meanwhile, the sprout moles seemingly couldn't piece together that there was something wrong when their citizens kept leaving and not returning, somehow blissfully ignorant to the idea a predator had been killing them. It really captures the characterization of Sweetheart and her kingdoms inhabitants as a whole.
Actually, Sprout Moles are aware that going out is dangerous, and in fact many if them talk down to you for going out when you're wearing sprout mole masks, mistaking you for fellow sprout Moles.
Sweetheart can go out tho shes done it before you enter pyrefly forest so assuming that king crawler was camping at the entrance it can be assumed that she either beat the shit out of it or she just left without fighting

I absolutely stomped him but im having my friend play omori, he doesn't typically play rpgs and ooh boy was he underleveled for this fight. I ended up having to help him and do the fight for him but I still needed a little bit of rng luck myself.

This fight would've been much harder for me if my entire party didn't crit while it was angry, effectively taking it down in half the time it could've taken.
All you really need is Cook and Counter. The problem with this boss is that it only uses single target attacks and doesn't mess with your emotions at all, and Aubrey has plenty of HP to handle a single attack, and Cook is just that OP. Use Aubrey's first turn to smash its Defense into oblivion, Hero can smile at it, and then on the 2nd turn+, you can simply have Aubrey counter and Hero cook for her while the other two wail away at it. This boss would have been way harder if it could, I don't know, inflict random Afraid statuses on Hero for example. That would break the Counter/Cook strategy and force you to use items and cure Afraid from Hero. I didn't do this, but you could also have Omori put Sad on Aubrey if you wanted to heal her every other turn.

I've seen people point out that Sunny is constantly in RPG mode and doesn't think at all about the moral ramifications of fighting people Omori runs into, shown by him attacking Aubrey with the knife during the daytime of Three Days Left. King Crawler does sort of come across as some kind of horrible monstrosity, similar to Something and his backup dancers, just not as prominently terrifying as monsters so frightening they get shut out of the Foe Facts page. Perhaps he does represent a rusted sense of morals.

Slight spoiler warning perhaps, you have been warned . . . . It always upset me that you get four sprout masks and when you wear them in Sweethearts castle you can find an npc who is happy to see the four "mole sprouts" return and gave up on exploring outside the colony. They died :(.
I feel so bad for the sprout moles who died from King Crawler and used as a body, like dude, poor things they didn't even make it back to their colonies ;-;
King crawler was easy. King carnivore in the other hand had me banging my head against a wall. Although I was under leveled, didn’t fully understand the battle system, and still only lost 3 times, it was just so time consuming
Yeah... King Carnivore's got a major stat advantage on the party if you fight him at the first possible opportunity. It's still entirely possible to win if you know how to shut down his vines though.
What makes the boss creepy is not that it's body is made of corpses, But how it is forest themed boss and it assends from sky to you after dropping fresh corpse on you. And every time it eats some one it becomes happy.
I kid you not, this boss took me a lot of days to beat. I've grinded enough back at when I first went to Orange Oasis and got back to this thing. Shoutout to Omori for hacking away the lost sprout mole before this guy eats it and gets more health 🙏

I like how even in the safe space of Omori's world, locations that are actively linked to one of Sunny's phobias are still liable to being filled with all manner of horrific, distinctly not comforting entities that are just existing openly in a world that's supposed to be a happy place, even after they've been confronted prior to entering the area There are just some things that can't be sugarcoated What's more is that Omori's the only one who has anything to say about it in the monster's description, as if he recognizes that it's not supposed to be here, yet addressing it, unlike the Somethings that manifest from time to time who don't even get an entry
This is much more King Carnivore's theme as far as I'm concerned. I killed this boss so fast from killing 50 rabbits straightaway that he was a cakewalk but Carnivore ate me alive. Apropos I suppose.

Tbh this boss was probably the easiest boss if you explored the dark forest and gained some levels with the ghost bunnies, really i thought it was just a mini-boss at first then i realised there was a too long section after that without any boss

the hardest boss when i speedran it , having my team at lvl 8 or 9 and the thing one hit killing kel all the time + having more speed than him. i expected to be locked in there but i managed somehow , good fight.

Yeah I agree, although both fights (really the entirety of the 2nd day) were a difficulty spike because I was basically underleveled the entire game
