Why is Tacoma Pierce County having a Pride month in July instead of June. How many groups get this level of special treatment. Currently they have co-opted the word “Pride” and rainbows. Nothing like it in society.
The American Flag already covers the representation of diversity, freedom of expression and choice..... Needing an alternative symbol diminishes this capacity of the already encompasing and established symbol that was meant to unite us! Placing a specific flag that seems to only divide and imply favortism is offensive to the American Pride We should all have. The State does not have freedom of expression and is only permitted to fly the American flag or a State Flag. Anything else is disgraceful. Pride flags on display by anyone other than a public body is totally acceptable. Fly a queer flag or a confederate flag its your right! The Governement has a duty not a right. Represent the Nation not people sexual orientation. You wanna support this with legislation thats fine too but STOP this disgusting virtue signalling!

Actually, "trans" have more rights than everyone else (for men and boys to enter what should be female only spaces and opportunites, to be called something they are not, to have taxpayers pay for their plastic surgery).

Anybody should be able to choose not to support that community if they want to period that's the problem with it.They shove it down your throat and they make you support it instead of standing up to your own beliefs
Fact is she chose to represent that district. No one forced her. Their is nothing wrong with having a pride flag in the room, it represents a portion of the community. A portion that is still under represented and discriminated against which is made clear by her choosing to not even sit in the room. Moments like these are why people want to fly the flag.

Pride is one of the primary sins in the three most predominant religions in the United States. The council just signed a proclamation asserting a religious belief that pride IS NOT a sin, but should instead be celebrated. This is a blatant violation of "the separation of church and state" which so many liberals and progressives decry every year from September to January first. The pride flag is as much a sign of religious belief as the ten commandments, a cross, a crescent, a star of David, or a statue of Shiva or Buddha.
As they celebrated the proclamation, every single member cheered, "Happy Pride!" Would we be as forgiving if the council members cheered "Allah Akbar," "Shalom," or "Amen?"
Show of support for a non-theistic religion, is what’s happening.

@@Space_GhostzI feel like there is a TON of representation already I’ve seen more pride flags than American flags we have an entire month dedicated to the LGBTQ community. I have AMAZING friends who are in that community as well as family. I have no issue with that community. But isn’t it strange that sexual preference needs to be celebrated? Isn’t that kind of inappropriate??? Why does the community push so hard to be seen? If I’m being honest I’ve gotten to the point where I feel like I’m the weird one in Washington for not being gay 😂 and I’m not saying didn’t say the lack family values or they are scary or whatever but if she did I need proof, the LGBTQ community is thriving in WA but there are other communities that are definitely getting their rights taken away
Edited* I found the video of what people interpreted as her saying LGBTQ lacks family values…….she did say that but she did show pictures of the inappropriate actions at some pride event. Context is important. I agree with her, keep your sexual preferences to your self why do you need a giant blow up penis suites and naked glittery bodies at these events???
