Long time fan of the Vapour ebike, can't believe I missed this video. I would love to see this bike come back and get a refresh, 72v battery, hookup the hall sensors with the hacky method, maybe even put on a bigger controller like the adaptto or vesc! The m620 is a beast of a motor that can take it, I saw a guy pushing 10kw with a nucular 24f on one. And bafang has a 1500w m630 that's coming out soon that's rated for even more power
Hi Andy. Bought one of the 2000w hubs 52v 20ah kits and it's a beast to ride on my bike. Sadly I crashed the bike today going to work and now the nc-81f display is broke. I've looked on Ur site and u don't sell replacements witch to me seems odd. If I've crashed and broke mine I'd imagine others would have as well. Any way I'm wondering how I'd get a replacement or what other displays say of ebay would work with Ur kit. Could really do with one asap for work. I'm on my last shift tonight then I get 6 days of so need something before then haha.
I have built a very similar bike to this one after being inspired by you in one of your earlier videos, same frame same motor but only running 1500w what speed controller have u got running to get it up to 2500w ?
Man great to see you out and about enjoying yourself and that bike your on seems very cool and fast as hell that light is very inpresseif but just looked at the price of it my god that's alot to pay looks like a great place to ride have a good one mate 👍 🚵 ⚡
You need to tilt the Exposure Sixpack slightly higher , yours seems to be illuminating the path about 20 feet in front of the bike , you need to see what is 100 - 200 feet in front and this light gives that in abundance ( I have two of them , a Mk 5 and a Mk 7 ) also they work even better when mounted on top of the handlebar ( reduces shadows on the track )
Yeah, it looks lower than it is, the camera is exaggerating the area directly in front. I will try mounting on top of the bars as well, thanks for the tip.
hey Andy, did you ever find a Cycle Analysts alternative to work with the phase-runner?? (NJ's old carrera bike says 'ello' to its phase-runner brother!) If you do upgrade the Battery on that and want to sell the old battery (with the 50A fuse in) drop me bing etc
My favourite type of Ebike by a long stretch, don't need a Suron when you have this lightweight beast 🤟🤠 i always said a middrive in a full suspension mtb is just the best set up for fun /dirt trails /more off road than on.👍🇬🇧🤠🤟
Hi mate love the vapor bike... i just recently converted my bike with a 52V BBSHD running custom firmware at 33A.... If wanted a bit more power, what's the best controller and where to get it from? (I'm in the UK and none of the things recommended on the forums from years ago are in stock anywhere and half the companies don't exist anymore lol. Thanks!
Best controller kit would be the High Voltage bac 855 kit mate, tons of power and get tuning and customer service. Trust me it was well worth going to a aftermarket controller on my bbshd!
I’ve got an almost identical bike. Posting this before watching the vid just off what I see in the picture. Got v6 phaserunner 21s 75v battery and bafang ultra on almost identical frame. My frame has its battery built in (dorado retention)which im building a custom case out of the r old dorado battery case a large version of the battery that will sit in. The frame. Currently got it rigged on and looking unfinished. The frame rear suspension also attaches slightly differently. Id go with front only suspension next time as I feel the frame twisting under high torque. I’m n still working with my. Fearing I’m going to go way sbb nb aller in the front chainring I’m smat 42 tooth and in the slowest gear it hits 60kpm and it doesn’t feel right going past 70. So basically all the faster gears are useless haha. It’s weird cause even with the gears so out of whack it’s still got Lots of torque and speed off the ljne(which phaserunners suck at in my previous experience)
I actually opened my motor up last night for the second time to see if everything is okay and I missed it sonehow the first time but there a hall sensor I’m with speed or temp(I think temp cause I’m germting constant signal while turning motor) in a 6 jst-sm connector sitting inside the motor that wasn’t hooked up to old controller(I also ripped that out last night rather then carry it around in there for no reason and I actually think a phaserunnn may fit it that void space. Not going to try though I want it to get good coolling
It's like seeing an old friend. This is the reason I bought my BBSHD AND THE BBSO2B Wow. I forgot how good the Vaper is do you still sell the Fase runner I need one in my life 😂for sure mate 🖐🏾great video Gaz,
does moving the sensor on the rear wheel and magnet to a position further out actually make the top speed on the bike any quicker - for those 15mph limited machines?
I love ❤ that bike. I would Cherish it to The Bitter End. Please, I need wheels with that kind of torque, at least 50 mph. I am in serious need of transportation, it would be such a blessing, to receive a gift of that magnitude. How much, and where can I order that bike? Thank you, have a good day.
Does it use more battery being sensorless currently doing a dual drive build but 1 of my motors is runnin sensorless jus wondering if the battery will drain quicker i know already it will slightly as im running 2 motors off the battery jus worried about the sensorless side if things
I don't think it draws any more current, sensored systems only use the hall sensors for a smooth startup anyway then they rely on back EMF from the motor once they start turning.
Wish i didnt have to pay like 4k for a bike like this my bbso2 build cost me 1k 😢. But it rips at 40mph and goes like 45ish miles on a charge. Id for sure want more range 40mph is fast enough. I dont need to break my bones more lol. But i Hope you bring this back to the store for a cheaper price lol might get it this time wanted to 4yrs ago.
i got a led running at 20w doing morwe light than that its not a bout the price its about the chip these are like l2's ofc you need 5 super drain on battery get single xhp70 chip and your good to go was 15 quid ink shipping with proper waterproof (actually was) housing with heatsink.
Ridiculous price on that light. I have Chinese Skyray lights costing 15 to 20 pounds almost as good. Advertised on eBay and Amazon. With good Panasonic 186 type rechargeable batteries they stay lit for many hours consistently. 500 for a single light is daylight robbery
i stopped buying hope brakes for the simple fact that they use dot 5 oil over mineral oil. dot 5 has a tendency to accumulate water over the space of a year or so and mineral oil doesn't. shimano saint brakes are excellent stopping power and iv never had to bleed them 3 years in. ps. i bloody love your music.
Nice to see a proper kitted out. full suspension e bike and proper quick, not some of that SHITE from the far east, ie: engme lankanessi or whatever the fook they are called
That bike looks slow as hell considering it's mid drive and has so much power... iv only built one ebike, owned 2.. but my 1kw rear hub kit on a lightweight bike pulls faster than this... I was only using a 45nm capable motor also... I tend to get towards 2 hours of ride at full power due to changing terrain... pure uphill I'd be lucky to get much more than 1 hour, I'm uprading to a 70+ nm torque wheel, can't go too high as not all the controller sizes will fit into my build without modification to the frame. But for what I want it's perfect... 45mph + with enough torque to demolish the hills... I also have a custom gear setup to provide pedal assist to further improve acceleration, which comes in handy for the hills purely because my assistance means the motor doesn't require as much power to help me upto full speed(longer battery life), it's a pure pedal assist build, no throttle, yet still rocks despite the delayed startup which the mid range design gets rid of that problem... it's a full suspension build, capable of between 30-70 mile range depending on setup. I'm quite liking the new ninja electric motor bikes also, they will likely open up the motor bike world to many more people but even further to that have you seen the flying escooters lol like a contained escooter with drone style propulsion lol... can't wait to build my own lol... can't believe the Jetsons era is really here 😂... I just think mid drive isn't as good as they boast... if it was they'd be making motor bikes with mid drive pedals... it's all about the rear hub motors... my bike before conversion weighed in at 15.5kg... 6061 aluminium, decent disc brakes although the pre installed pads wore down very quickly after conversion, the rear hub kit weighs in at 10kg although it doesn't feel like it... the battery a 48v 20amp, another 4.6kg... max weight of 30kg... even with my weight added is only around 100kg it's pulling which all adds to the efficiency... I saw this one vid you did where you connected 2 drill batteries together and tweaked the bike and it took off like a beast... think that was a rear hub maybe, that was a sick build
Yeah and then you sat on it to ride and sudently you have 80hp per tonne. It's different with real cars where driver weight is fraction of the vehicle weight but using this therms on ebikes is just silly. It's like saying my rc car is at 400hp per tonne
yeah sure that's true, but it sounds better :P. but its still good power to wait ratio with me on it, its comparable to a 125cc-150cc 20 hp enduro motorbike.@@greg23842384
@@chrismcgiffen808 It's just nonsense when it comes to bicycles, ebikes for that matter. It's just having bigger numbers in the title that makes people click. It's just disenguine in that context.
