Feijoa is also known as pineapple guava, which gives some hint to the taste. Personally it's one of my favourite fruit 🙂 great vid, almost every one of these foods is a throwback to my childhood in NZ 😀
Love watching your face while tasting items. 😁 The raspberry candies look just like the ones common in the US. The candies here have a soft jell filling, not sure if those you have did. You are very diplomatic in your opinions, which is very nice when people seem to enjoy tearing everything/everyone down. Good to see you and Tim. So happy you like licorice and anise flavors, I get tired of tasters complaining about these two flavors. Hi to your kitties; I have 3.😺
Im a kiwi and never seen the first one. The others are fab! Feijoa from Argentina originally but like one of the most popular trees to grown here in your backyard!
Fly spray 🤣 I've been eating feijoas and feijoa stuff since I was young ill be 40 very soon it's my favourite flavour lol I've never been keen on those aniseed wheels tho
How on earth are you suppose to eat those aniseed wheels? LOL they are huge. I don't mind the feijoa flavour I think in time I could get use to it but if I grew up with it I can see how it would be something you crave.
@@FoodTastertv I wish I could explain its not really bitter well I don't think so anyway.. Its actually really nice but I may only like it because I've grew up with it
Nice video, Tam! Prior to today, I don't think I've ever heard of fejoa, but thanks to you, at least now I have some idea of what it might taste like. I think I will pass if ever I am offered any fejoa-flavored drink or gummies or any other fejoa product. The Bluebird chips/crisps, on the other hand, look just fine, as does that thick spongy slab of chocolate covered marshmallow.
Thanks Tam and Tim. IDK Tam. A fruit that tastes like bug spray but not in a bad way? I make bug spray out of lemongrass oil and can't stand to drink lemongrass tea Lol.😉
I'm from New Zealand , I've had a Fejoa. As kids we used to sit under the Fejoa tree and eat them, I loved them. Maybe having a natural fejoa and seeing what it tastes like is better :) , I laughed so much with the anniseed wheel becasue I had them as a child. I loved them but I'd feel funny eating them now lol we used to get anniseed balls , the were silver on the outside and hard inside and a real anniseed on the inside
I love roasted marshmallows and s'mores, but don't like marshmallow cream. Rum and raisin candy sounds so good. Your reactions to the "fly spray" tasting items and the bottle cap popping off were so funny. Hi Tim! Luckily he was not beside you when the bottle cap flew away. LOL! Good review.
Hey Tam. I would eat that whole packet of malt biscuits. I love malt and we don't get many mslt flavored things. Whoppers don't count because I've had Malteasers and now can't be bothered with weak whoppers.😬💙
I've never seen nor heard of Rainbow Toasties, but we have an annoying abundance of marshmallow treats in NZ so I'm sure I don't know them all. Feijoas are native to South America, but they grow really well in the NZ climate and soil so have become embedded in NZ culture. They don't ripen at all once they're off the tree (you're supposed to wait until they fall off naturally), which makes them really bad for export hence you don't see them elsewhere.
Feijoa fruit is related to guava, but it looks a lot like a kiwi on the outside. It's interesting. The only time I see products with malt in them is outside the US, unless you count an actual malt type milkshake.
“I wanted a rainbow because I expected a rainbow but I wouldn’t have been happy with a rainbow because food coloring. But it’s not a rainbow!” That is so me.
It will be probably be a caiman on the Sour Fiejoa gum packet, to signify Fiejoa's South American origin. It's also known as "Pineapple Guava" or "Guavasteen" and before it was cultivated in New Zealand, it originated in South America (notably: Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Paraguay & Uruguay.) There are no crocodiles in South America, and hardly any alligators south of Central America, but caiman are a lot more common there.
Feijoa is a very love hate fruit. I love them but people describe them as tasting like soap. All the rainbow and maycees stuff isn’t very popular. Love aniseed wheels but they make you dribble
Really difficult to describe the taste of Feijoa soap yep I get that too. It must have sounded strange to people that we said it was a little like fly spray but not unpleasant. Love the aniseed wheels too but yes no avoiding dribbling haha
I can't go back to Cadbury chocolate after trying my first Whittakers. Especially when they changed to importing Cadbury as the Dunedin factory had a much nicer taste but they shut that down. Whittakers all the way now.
The hokey pokey really did look top notch wouldn’t mind trying it
Tim is so adorable 🥰 he’s like a kid in a candy store! 😂 and Tam I love your faces when you make when you’re unsure about a food it’s hilarious 😂
My favorite item hands down is Cheeky Tam
Awww sweet thanks

The Whitaker's honeycomb candy bar looked good to me. Thanks for a good video, Tam!
Whitaker's makes delicious chocolate and so many different flavoured bars to choose from the honeycomb one was something I would buy again.

"it tastes like bug spray" 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Very appealing 🙃
Yum tastes like poison but at least after consuming you don't get fleas
Im a kiwi and never seen the first one. The others are fab! Feijoa from Argentina originally but like one of the most popular trees to grown here in your backyard!
You are literally the sweetest person ever I adore your smile keep smiling
That feeling when you don’t know if you had a hot flash or a panic attack. 😆😅
Yes all rolled into one what a special surprise
LOL. I love bug-spray flavored candy! Tim had the 'happy finger" reaction today. Good show.
Haha the happy finger reaction. Bug spray candy YUM!
Favorite line by Tim “They taste like fly spray, they’re not unpleasant “ hahaha
Tam I just love your laugh
Another awesome video!!!
Thanks Balinda I'm going to have to watch Tim around the fly spray now haha
Cheeky Tam 🤣🤣🤣

What does Feijoa actually taste like ?

Thank you for having a laugh before going to sleep. In Germany we eat Anisseed Cookies on Christmas. I love your videos. :-)
The autotext translated «hi everyone cheeky Tam here» to «hi everyone shakytam here» 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice Tim tasted the 'weird ' food. Wonder what ingredients are in these items.
Again a lovely video!
Never heard of Fejoa! Sounds very interesting. 😁

So true lucky Tim wasn't next to me when I opened the soda POP so ferocious. Roasted marshmallow does taste nicer than regular marshmallow on its own.
Hi Tam you need to make kiwi dip a tin of reduced cream and a packet of onion soup mix chill in the fridge sooooo good
Don't worry about the Maycey's Tam. They were hit quite hard from COVID. Love from NZ.
😂😂😂😂😂😂That was a huge candy bar!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Tam. I would eat that whole packet of malt biscuits. I love malt and we don't get many mslt flavored things. Whoppers don't count because I've had Malteasers and now can't be bothered with weak whoppers.😬💙
Yes because Fly Spray is so refreshing! Ha!
Who else heard Fejoa as something else every time Tam said it ? LOL Awesome video BTW :)
i cant believe tim was trying chocolate with his pyjama top on lol
Toasties. You put a toastie in the fridge get it cold then eat it, its much nicer to eat it when its cold

When you opened the bottle and it went BANG, good thing the neighbours didn't call the police.
and we live in a quiet neighbourhood
@@CheekyTam That Fejoia made quiet a bang !!!!
Blue Onions and Fejoa all in one video !!!!! :)

Have a Amazing day
Hi Tyler you too
I'm a kiwi and feijoa is my all time go to fruit.
2:00 Do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around....
and that's what it's all about
Yessss! You did it!😁
6:34 Surprise! ... #Bloopers!
An unexpected panic attack provoker haha
Oooffff that pop on that bottle was vigorous lol
That top scared me so much LOL
“I wanted a rainbow because I expected a rainbow but I wouldn’t have been happy with a rainbow because food coloring. But it’s not a rainbow!”
That is so me.
Good we're on the same page then haha
Tim : Mmmmm tastes like fly spray .... its not unpleasant.... how would you describe it other than fly spray? lol
Next date night I'm buying a big can of fly spray I just know Tim will love it.

That aniseed wheel looked like something to put in the urinal.🤣
🤣 it does

mmmmm fly spray taste
i love gol hearts
feijoa is an acquired taste ..thats for sure
You never age... unlike me. 😁
Thanks mate I feel like I've aged so much (especially this year) I don't think you age either.
I can't go back to Cadbury chocolate after trying my first Whittakers. Especially when they changed to importing Cadbury as the Dunedin factory had a much nicer taste but they shut that down. Whittakers all the way now.
Remind me to never try fejoa - LOL
The Aniseed Wheels look like hockey pucks.
and probably just as awkward to eat as a hockey puck
That first chocolate looked old.
Aniseed smells like Root Beer to me.
It does they must be related in some way
Those Wheels at the end are a real Choking Hazard! :-O
Still have no idea why the wheels were so big WHY?
Maybe you're not meant to shove it all in your mouth?😅
First 😘
Yay First
the sizes of package seemed to matter a lot today. any particular reason?
that came off as negative. it was meant to be dirty lmfao cheers!
Haha no, and no your comment didn't come across as negative at all. Very funny
Tim doesnt like Fejoa Juice !!!! :)
That first chocolate looked old.
Yes the first chocolate looked depressed
