Strawberry Tart

CHRIS’S STRAWBERRY TART
Recipe
I made a 3/4 portion of my Sweet Shortcrust Pastry recipe but a half portion should be sufficient
Sweet Shortcrust Pastry Recipe
300g / 2 1/2 cups of Plain Flour
175g / 1 1/2 sticks of Unsalted Butter
75g / 2/3 cup of Icing Sugar
1 medium-large Egg
That’s a full portion so just use a small egg if doing a half portion. Here’s a link to the video - • Sweet Shortcrust Pastry
Crème patisserie
500ml/ 2 cups + 1 tbsp of full milk
1/2 a vanilla pod
100g/ 1/2 cup of Sugar
50g/ 3 tbsp of Cornstarch
2 medium-large eggs
Add 3 tbsps of whipped cream afterwards

Mazarinmasse/A type of Frangipane
175g of Raw marzipan (Almond paste)
125g/ 1/2 Cup + 1 tbsp of Sugar
125g/ 1 stick + 1 tsp of Unsalted Butter
2 Medium eggs
3 tsp of Plain Flour
You can substitute the 175g of Almond paste with 175g of ground almonds. Just cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and mix then add the flour and ground almonds
After filling bake for 30 minutes at 180C/356F Conventional oven.
Fan Oven - 160C/320F
You can also make this without the marzipan filling. Prick with a fork and blind bake for about 25 minutes at the same Temperature
I used about 500g of Strawberries for this
