Awesome review as usual Tim. Nobody reviews backpacks better. This is great value for the money and definitely gives us an affordable well made option for a backpack. Thanks Buddy.
I only got into about 3 minutes of the review and what caught my attention is the face that the hydration ports are covered and integrated into the grab handle... NICE OPTION!! Love it! Fantastic review, my friend!
Great looking pack with some really neat ideas. For the money seems a no-brainer. Love the top and bottom zippers inside, wish more packs had that as standard. Get angry when having to move the pack around just to stop everything falling out. Nice review Tim, keep 'em coming my friend.
Looks like a great bag. Thanks to you, I'm loving the modular/ pouch method for gear. Just grab the pouches you need for the day, throw then in the pack and go. Love it. Great video Tim.
thank you so much for this review. i was on the fence about buying this pack and your in depth review of the bag made the sale. keep up with the great videos!
This was a very good and thorough review. I really liked that you even though to show how deep your fingers reached into the front bottom pouch, the side pouches, etc. Very thorough. Thank you. I just ordered this pack in gray for myself and the 12hr in black for my wife.
I understand that this is an old post and I havent seen your other vids but One thing that I do recommend is buying some of those cheap 88 cent tent stakes from walmart and putting them in your bag for your tarp/rainfly, I understand that you live in a different environment than I do but I still think its better to have everything ready in case it does rain, instead of standing out in the rain fiddling with making your own. Kudos for packing out trash, I usually keep one of those plastic grocery bags you get from the super market and reuse them in my edc and hunting pack as a trash bag. So that way I don't have to unpack my bag, take out the trash, then repack it, I can just empty the bag! Already love your vids and subbed just now. ;)
Great review of a fantastic pack. Reminder though there are velcro tabs on the compression straps so when they as re tightened down the excess isnt flopping around to hook on things
Ya I think im going to pick one up as well, that od green looks good too......Great idea with that kneeling pad going to do that as well...Stay safe .....Steve from Chicagoland.
Absolutely. When I saw the price I figured it would be ok but nothing to brag about but then after I received it and have been using it I realize that we can't judge gear (most anyway) by price alone. Lots of companies like LAPG are turning out great quality gear at fantastic prices. This is a great thing, hopefully it will help get more people outside to enjoy the outdoors.
Good review Tim--just an idea--I'm also diabetic (type 1). I used to carry glucose tabs but my doc gave me a great idea. Smarties--the candy--take up less room and way cheaper than the glucose tabs and they taste better. I just toss some in a baggie and good to go. Just an idea and thanks for the review
Great Video ! in your opinion, which pack do you prefer, this or the rush 24, i have the rush 24 and was wondering about the quality, the rush 24 appears to be better quality. wouls be great to see a "vs" video between the 2 packs :) thanks !
I tell most people if your budget will allow for a more expensive pack, then go with the RUSH. If money is a little tight you’ll be very happy with the Atlas. Great quality but the RUSH is definitely a little better.
Yes, very comfortable. I have been finding I have more sweat on my back from this pack compared to others, this is normal for me anyway but I did find it a bit warmer on my back than other packs. But is it comfy, Yes, very.
Tim take a look at the LAPOLICE gear operator backpack, looks like a very goog and user friendle bag?and best of all 3 grab handles as well as water bottle holders on the sides, whats not to like???
fred dobbs I reviewed one a few years ago but it was under another brand name but the pack was named the same. I think the original creator of the pack was Fox Tactical. It's a big pack for sure. Loved the grab handles.
Thanks for the Vlog. I wish you could have talked about the stitching and material used. Also was the material on bottom of the back reinforced or made from a tougher material?
@@GearReviewDepot I've looked and bought so many different bags and brands and nothing compares to the 72 hour Bag. Its a phenomenal bag. I was excited when I bought the bag. And now I got it, I am even more impressed and excited. This bag is by far way better than the 5.11 Rush.
@@GearReviewDepot i guess it depends on what your using the bag for. But as far as a trauma kit or medical kit. This is a beast. I used to carry 3 different bags just to carry all my supplies. But now the LAPG 72 hour is amazing. It fits all my supplies and it still has a lot more room if I need to add supplies.
Just the front pocket (admin pouch) can fit a full IFAK for 2. And it still has more room if I need it. And it is easily accessible. No need to dig through the entire pack to find the items I need.
#TheTacticalDefender I know you said you were planning to do a comparison video at some point, but would you consider this one a bit overkill as a day hiking pack? I'm debating between this and the 12-hour pack.
No I wouldn't consider it overkill. Yes you can get away with the 12 hour pack for day hikes but for me personally the 12 would be too small. I like the size of the 24, I can carry a bunch of items if I need to or I can just put a few things in the pack if that's what the day or hike calls for, at least I would have that option. For me the 12 is a great edc pack because I don't edc as many items that I would bring into the woods.
Time I forgot where you said you bought the blue shirt in this video can u please advise again...I don't know what's up with my short term memory....thanks.....
I don't believe so, they don't have the YKK on the zipper and there's nothing on their website saying anything about the zippers. I can tell you they are large and very strong from what I've experienced. I have been pretty hard on them, tugging them with one hand and so on and no problems as of yet.
Ive had mine for about two months and I love it. Very rugged, lots of space, and easy on the shoulders and back
Absolutely! I found it very comfortable.

Used this pack in a 4-month trip in West Africa--super great!

Steve R , I gonna be in Chicago in a few months, do you know where can Iget this pack in Chicago?

That's a good idea, I'll look into it. Thank you!
Nice, great review, that is a good pack for the car, I do have an older much heavier one from LAPG
That very small pocket at the bottom front is great for a rain cover for the pack.
Absolutely. Great idea. Thank you for taking the time to watch.

FYI the waist strap for the 72 hour is permanent. its not Detachable because its sewed on the bag itself.
Much like the RUSH72 from 511.
Fantastic pack, great review, thank you.
Thank you for watching.
Good review Tim, I like lagear stuff!
Good review. Eagerly waiting for atlas 72 review and comparison. Thanks for this review. Is it comfortable enough for long hikes ?
Yes, very comfortable. I have been finding I have more sweat on my back from this pack compared to others, this is normal for me anyway but I did find it a bit warmer on my back than other packs. But is it comfy, Yes, very.

I was just thinking they should make one about one third this size..thanks again for all your help and advice...
I have the 72 and the only thing i don’t like about it is that there a bit stiff not like the rush there more flexible
Hi sir, 5.11 72rush is better or LA GEAR ATLAS 72hour.24hour ?
5.11 is definitely better. But if you're on a tight budget then the Atlas packs are a great substitute. 👍
@@GearReviewDepot thnk u sir, so 5.11 is better? High Quality !
Thanks for the Vlog. I wish you could have talked about the stitching and material used. Also was the material on bottom of the back reinforced or made from a tougher material?
gary s No reinforcement on the bottom of the pack. Nothing special about the stitching other than it works.
but the 72 hour is one hell of a bag. the best bag out there especially for a full trauma kit.
The LAPG 72 hour pack is the best pack among other LAPG packs? Or any other brand/manufacturer? Just curious

are these camelbak quality/durability?
@@gabrielfelixmunoz739 Definitely not.

Tim, have you ever use a first tactical backpack? If you use what is your opinion?
I have. I have and reviewed the Tactix one day pack, great pack. They make good gear for sure. Good quality.

Thank you!
I'm a new follower of yours have you done a review on chest rigs?
Kelly Angst I haven't. Sorry. I have a couple but I've ever reviewed them. Maybe someday.
What is your opinion about the material of this pack ? Making a comparation between polyester vs nylon.
I prefer Nylon over the Polyester but the Polyester is a very good alternative if you want to save some money.
TheTacticalDefender , thank you Tim forma the info. GOOD REVIEW
Anyone here know where to find velcro backed magazine pouches for this pack?
I don't. Nor would I trust the velcro.
