Pipe cap glued to the bottom... Brilliant! Thanks
Nice, I really like the one with a pattern that came out shiny 👍. So many ideas ran through my head. Now I just need to start moving LoL. Thank You 😎✌
Nice I was looking for something like this, to mount my soft light stand 👍🏻
I've been looking for a simple flag stand for a team flag that was handmade for us. This is going to be perfect. Thank you!
Wow! love those concrete bases, I am still busy clearing up my outside space but think when I am ready I can use one for a cute outside table on my patio. Thanks for sharing all of the great ideas, I really like the one with the pattern. Sending love and hugs, bye for now.
Thanks Holly! That's a great idea!
I am so glad I came across this video! I am doing a backyard wedding this summer and we wanted additional lighting for outside but couldn’t find any options….. I’m making these bases to attach 8 foot poles that we will hang string lights from but we wanted something with a detachable base so we could transport it easily
Nice! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for such a comprehensive video.
I'm planning on using 7'-8' lengths of 1" pvc to form the uprights for a non-load-bearing (sheer Ikea curtain panel in between) pipe/drape with about 5' span in between each free-standing pair. The event will be at my church and inside as backdrop accents at the room perimeter.
Do you think a #25 weight at either side is sufficient to hold that length upright or would you recommend increasing that a bit?
Thanks for any suggestions 😁
I like to make one for my outdoor umbrella very windy here
great video * Thank you
Amazing! Can i make two as a base for w backdrop stand or not to sturdy at open air event
does the top of the 1 inch pipe cap come off easily after removal from the bowl? for the opening?
Thanks for sharing. What weight would these stands be when dry please? Am wanting to make an additional weight for garden parasol stand for windier days 😊
About 25 lbs
I would love to use this as a base for a bird bath or bird feeder.
Yes! That would be perfect!
The concrete base would be good for making crowd control stanchions
Originally watched this on their website. I would assume that they get fewer Likes when it's on their website as that option isn't visible unless people go to the UA-cam channel to watch.
Watched this video and would really like to make the swirl design version... where do you find that plastic bowl?
That bowl is actually from Publix (FL grocery store) it came with a deli salad.
How did you go from metal to pvc pipe?
We show how here: www.motherdaughterprojects.com/blog/diy-portable-pvc-and-concrete-flag-stand
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i have a canvas tent for hot days, what do i put the plastic poles in to use the threaded caps you are putting in the concrete
The threaded caps are PVC connectors. Go to the PVC section of the hardware store and you will find them.
Do you think this base will hold a chandelier? I am looking for options for a photo booth display.
I’m not sure, but I will tell you it is very sturdy. The one we have outside has never once fallen over even in high winds. For our flag stand, we added a dowel into the PVC pipe for strength and durability. If you’re going to use something heavy, you need to be sure the pipe will be strong enough.
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Thank you!
Hello wont the cement stick on the bowl?
Not to a plastic or silicone mold.
My pipe cap doesn’t hot glue to my plastic bowl . It comes right off, please help.
Did you clean the pipe cap?
sorry disregard cap
In a second hand dealers, I’ve found a beautiful 18 inch tall brass dolphin which stands on its tail. I want it to be the door stop for when i leave my front door open, so it greets the visitors. But it will topple over, so i need to set in in a concrete base. That’s why i have come to this video. I like the wavy bade you made - the dolphin would look lovely on that-( like sea waves). But from this video i don't have a way to stick the two together or even embed my dolphin into the base. So i need to find a method.
