You can instantly tame Bronto by:
1. Shoot it until its torpor was half or above and then go to sleep (this will help it to not wondering much). After sleep, try to avoid it from wandering way too much or its food meter will increases back. You need to look out for every step of it because Bronto deal stomp damages and if it hit raptors, then it will be a bad news for your taming effeciency.
Bonus tip
If you have baby dinos that you dont want like T - Rex but the stats is not like how you want it to be, don't just kill it right back, instead, bring it outside and use dinos you have like Theri and OOF the baby dinos to get some little extra exp. OOFing baby dinos also give you alot of prime meat.

Edit: If I was not wrong, Otter will not get attack by other dinos. I've seem a pack of raptors just leave it behind and instead goes attacking the....Theri??

You got my comment wrong you have to sleep beside it (before) you start to knock it down and you will find the food bar in 0%
Also
If you are taming a carnivorous after you sleep beside it if it eat a Corpse his food will be Filled

Annd extra tip:
If you hade a problem that you can't sleep because it's to bright just build one foundation and close it put the bed inside and you should be able to sleep
