Fun fact our anthem "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" was the first national anthem to ever be sung at the start of a sporting event , In 1905, the Welsh national rugby team hosted New Zealand's first touring team, who started every match performing a haka. As a response, Wales player Teddy Morgan led the crowd singing the anthem , since then it's now common around the world for anthems to be sung at the start of sporting events.
Im i right to say that land of my fathers is the unofficial national anthem meaning that it is in every way except "on paper" so to speak...god bless the prince of Wales being the official one? Or did I get that wrong?
Edit: apparently i was wrong...didn't mean to offend I love this song and it really gives me chills🙈
@@marinusvanderlaan7906 god Bless the Prince of Wales is a song written to mark the occasion of the marriage of the future english King Edward VII to Alexandra of Denmark, many welsh people dont sing that song or even know of it and class land of my fathers as our main national anthem, not a lot of welsh people like the royal family and hate the prince of wales title that's currently with william and kate, many see it as a symbol of colonialism, the last true native prince of Wales was llewellyn , he was ambushed at orewin bridge in 1282 it was supposed to be a peaceful meeting , he got separated from his men killed his head cut off and sent to London with an ivy crown on it and paraded through the streets , English king then annexed wales in 1284 , wales was the first ever nation that England conquered and it started the british empire , the english king then named his son the new prince of wales after conquering to mock the welsh a tradition that's now with william and kate , so no we don't sing god save the prince of wales.
@@marinusvanderlaan7906you’ve got that very wrong, I’m afraid. Welsh-Cymru explains it perfectly, but I’ll add that the vast majority of Welsh people have never heard of the song you refer to, much less sung it; in fact, the closest you’re likely to get to those words are ‘F*ck the prince of Wales’. The false title has nothing to do with us, has no standing here, and simply is not wanted.
2nd fun fact regarding the Welsh National Anthem and sporting events:
The first time that "Hen wlad fy nhadau" was played at a [Football / Soccer] World Cup was in Qatar 2022.
Albeit Wales last reached the [Football / Soccer] World cup in 1958 - due to a mix up / cultural misunderstanding [and much confusion from the players and fans watching] - they played 'God save the queen' [not our national anthem].
@@ComeRee not entirely true, Qatar 2022 was the first time it was sung at a world cup, but the Football Association of Wales (like all British football nations sang God Save The King/Queen until 1975, that is why in Sweden 1958 it was sung instead of Land of my Fathers, it wasn't a mix up at all. Scotland also eventually changed from singing it leaving just England and Northern Ireland to sing it today.
That's what makes our anthem special, it's not about a person. It's not about a royal family like England. Our anthem is about the land, it's about the people, it's about every single Welsh person. And every Welsh person who hears that anthem is filled with pride and appreciation of our special, beautiful land. It's not an anthem it's pure spirit.
Well said. When you put a Welsh rugby Jersey on, you are putting the entire nation on your shoulders and the crowd is with you all the way, together as one we tread this land, we seed this land and we love this land.
United as a nation no matter of any differences, if your Welsh your proud never met a Welshman/woman who wasn't
Totally agree, whilst many Nations anthems reflect conflict, war etc, the Welsh anthem is about its land and its people, poets and singers. How can you top that, and we have a dragon on our flag. Proud Welshman until I die.
I've always thought they should change the English one to Land of Hope and Glory, it's a much more fun song and frankly it's also a great joke.
It's why we need to change our national anthem and revert our patron saint back to St. Edmond, the original.
There is nothing and i mean nothing like hearing the Welsh sing their anthem at a rugby match....and i say that, as others have i see, as an Englishman.
I'm an All Black fan but the Welsh National Anthem always brings tears to my eyes so much emotion behind it
Except at the football .. football fans smash the rugby fans out the park every single time
@@JoshGreen-o4zI’ve been to welsh football and welsh rugby games and the rugby fans take the trophy for this one
As a kiwi I have to say it's something very special
Spine tingling ❤
Regards from the West Country
Not only did they all sing along, they did the last part in a complex _harmony_ - that's the Welsh!
Wales is not known as the Nation of Song for nothing. My Welsh ancestors loved singing. Music and song was a vital part of family life, faith, and work. Singing is a part of every aspect of Welsh life. Music is in the DNA of the Welsh soul.
That’s not true actually. There is a large male voice choir on the pitch doing the harmony.
@here.3070: yet every single Welsh person there could probably do that harmony. There's not many who wouldn't sing the anthem, and sing it well. Especially at an international!
Yes, and they are audible as the choir - but you can hear the crowd harmonising too, especially on the final chorus.
That's simply not true. There was a male voice choir on the pitch, that's who you hear high in the mix.
I’m so proud to be Welsh. Our anthem and flag are the best in the world. Can’t help but sing along every time I hear it. The atmosphere in the stadium on match days is incomparable and yes everyone sings with their hearts. Cymru am Byth ( Wales for ever )❤❤🏴🏴🏴🏴
The other Welsh song that I love is Calon Lan ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@SimSim-zf9if
You’re obviously not Welsh.
@@selwynowen6213
ABSOLUTELY, I love Calon Lan,I love my country and the WELSH Team, but I can't stand DRAKEFORD he has RUINED WALES.
Yma o hyd
I'd argue our national anthem is just as great, but you definitely beat us in the flag department that isn't touched by any nation that still exists
As an Englishman, I have to tip my hat and say that this here is an awesome, and inspiring national anthem, and a simply spine tingling display of national fervour. It's no wonder they beat us that day...how could they lose with support like that?
What's the new English one ? God save Jimmy Savilles mate.
England is finished
@@woden20 England will never be finished troll. Let me guess, you're angry and hitting out because god didn't let you be born an Englishman lol. Better luck in the next life, loser.
That's why there's always a debate over whether the roof is left open or closed whenever Wales play England... Better acoustics with the roof closed. 😉
@@bluesrocker91 you need to listen to welsh anthem in quatar with open stadium with only a couple of thousand fans. Its not about the roof. Its about the passion the welsh fans have

I'm English and the Welsh National Anthem being sang at a Welsh rugby is one of the most amazing things to witness/listen to.
I am English, born in England. Yet, I lived in South Wales for five years as a child and Wales captured my heart forever. Now my granddaughter is born Welsh! How life moves in circles! I PROUDLY sing "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" with all my heart
Its the best anthem and sang in the ancient language of Britain. The volume of sound in Cardiff with true love of country behind it has thousands of us in tears every single time. It's incredible . thank you for enjoying it too my friend. Cymru am Byth.
I'm a Scotsman and have to say I absolutely love listening to the Welsh when they sing their National Anthem. You can feel that pride and passion in it's rawest, best form.
To be fair, the Scots' anthem is good. I love it. 👍
Same to my celtic cousins bagpipes get to me everytime I hear them flower of scotland ..
I am English to the core and yet the Welsh Anthem sung by rugby fans like that gives me goosebumps and brings a tear in my eye. My Sister loved it so much it was played at her funeral.
As a proud Welshman, to hear something like that is an honour.. Sorry for your loss, but proud we "as a Nation of song" could send her on her way with the words Gwlad! Gwlad! Pleidiol wyf i’m gwlad. Translated as .... Country! Country! O but my heart is with you!
Big hugs to you
I've been living in England for years and everyone has been great to me, so love to hear this
The first time I went to see Wales play at the Millennium Stadium, my mate said to me up front; "Right - no crying during the national anthem you big fairy!"
We sang our hearts out, then turned to look at each other - and we both had tears streaming down our faces! I burst out laughing and he went, "Alright, I know, I know..!"
And it doesn't matter how many times you experience it, that surge of pride and emotion never diminishes. 😊
I'm Scottish and travel to Cardiff whenever I can to watch Wales 1. To listen to the Welsh fans sing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (The Land of my Fathers) - This is worth the ticket price alone 2. To watch a style of Rugby I've always admired.
@@mgm71 I’m Welsh and been a good few times to Scotland to see Wales play…I can’t deny the effect the Scottish anthem has on me when it’s coming full throated..hairs on the back of the neck lifting and goose pimples rise.
Awesome
Every time I'm at Murrayfield I can't help but bawl my eyes out during Flower of Scotland 😂😂
I can never sing it without crying, to be honest. That and Yma o Hyd as well.
As you can probably tell by my name I'm Welsh. We do have a pride in our country, our language and culture. Maybe if you look up the history of Wales you might get some idea of why we feel so strongly and why we sing our national anthem with such feeling in our hearts xx

I've had the pleasure, as a Welsh supporter based in England, of being in the stadium for the National Anthem and it's unbelievable. Your whole body feels the vibration, the atmosphere drills into your soul. Imagine being an opponent hearing that before a game. Also during the game the crowd will sing hymns (and arias, a little in joke for the supporters) even the building shakes. It's an amazing amphitheatre where at times you hear individual voices often making comical observations then almost spontaneously a song will start. The voices of Angels, even I sound good in there😂
Just reduces me to tears every time , if its Rugby or football , its passion love of our welsh country , one of the best national anthem
THE Best 100%
The 'round ball' brigade can never, ever much the thrill of the Rugby crowd singing. No patriotic show on earth can match it.
I’m a Welshman and this gave me tingles at the time and still does. This was for the championship and we won.
I will always remember this match, was one HELL of a birthday present!

I'm English and I prefer their anthem to our boring dirge 'God Save the Queen/King'.
its the best honestly, shivers down my time every single time
The anthem literally talks about hating you lot but fair
Thankyou for reacting to this video. I get very emotional every time I hear this anthem being sung before a rugby international match. I dare say that other people feel the same way about their own anthems. But this is my anthem. My country. 🏴👍
I concede that the Welsh national anthem is the best of the lot, especially when sung before a rugby International. 🏴 🤜🏻🤛🏻🏴
Aged 4 moved to Wales, 1971, grew up on a small farm, going to a small village school. No football played it was Rugby all the way, no option. Was so blessed to Hear the Cardiff Arms Park in full glorious voice in the 70's. Just wish that you tube had a decent recording of it, you dont need pics, just listen
I may be English but I love the Welsh, they’re so passionate. Beautiful country, hope to visit one day
I'm Welsh but I'm also proud to be British
Honestly pal visit the gower in Swansea it’s stunning I’m from down the gower and it’s the nicest place you can visit in wales
As a Scotsman. That blew me away.
This anthem, when sung in Wales is absolutely incredible. 🏴
You guys are the second best by far! I'll be biased though as I'm Welsh with Scottish heritage. As long as it isn't England; I'll be happy
I was there,I was singing and I will never forget the whole experience until the day I die..I am convinced the anthem lifted the team to victory before the kick off!
You nailed it in your summing up, very well done!. I’m English but it always sends goosebumps up my spine. I have since learned the words.
Cymru am byth!! The whole country joins in, everyone in the stadium, at home, in pubs, on the street, the whole nation sings with them. Makes me so proud to be Welsh 🏴🏴🏴
It's absolutely quality. And I'm Irish.
Cymru am byth ‘dwyt ti’n cofio macsen does neb yn ei nabod o’.
I've sung this in a pub, in Eastern England, belting it out with another (previously unknown cymro) and we were clapped by the locals. Strangely harmonised perfectly. 😂
I watched Cardiff City play away at Reading a few years ago & they had 3000 football fans there & they sang the Welsh national anthem it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up they were incredible
Proud to be Welsh, thank you for this reaction 🙏 xx
I`m English but nobody sings like the Welsh they have a beautiful singing voice.
Just listen to the Welsh crowd harmonise from 1.50 onwards ❤❤❤
Sometimes the fans sing a hymn in the stands in three part harmony. Now that is impressive.
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but the line of red you can see in the background is the men of The London Welsh Male Voice Choir who led the singing. I am proud to say that I was a member of that choir for 16 years and that day was one of the best. This performance from 2013 is widely regarded as the best rendering of the anthem - it is all over UA-cam. Rarely, in a big stadium, do you get the entire crowd, choir and players pretty much in sync, and this added to the effect and impact.
My father is Welsh & I grew up hearing that anthem each weekend when Wales played rugby. My father knows all the words.
Cymru am Byth. Here as a welsh woman. This song rings true to my heart. Translates as ‘the land of my fathers’. Beautiful song and always sung with passion. Glad you enjoyed xxx
Aussie here - that was amazing. I loved it. You could see the love of country. You should have a look at a NZ haka before a Rugby Union match. That will send shivers up your spine
My heart swells when I hear it x I had the pleasure of accidentally being outside the stadium once back in the 80s x it was pure magic, be well x keep smiling.
As a Welshman I appreciate your comments and respect given to our nation. I can assure you: singing the anthem in a crowd like this - which I have done many times in my 70 years! - is a profound experience. Thanks.
Awesome, especially as even non Welsh speakers know the words and sing along. As part of the 5 nations, every second year they travel to Scotland, a pub full of drunk Scottish and Welsh rugby fans is an experience you'll never forget
I only ever went up to Scotland once on a rugby trip, back in 1999. That was the one when Scotland scored in the first 10 seconds of the match, then went on to win fairly convincingly. So, not great for us travelling supporters. But as far as the experience went, it was fantastic. I remember us getting the (public) bus back to the hotel, and about 20 of us on the top deck all singing away, and also one of the pubs in which the Welsh completely took over. Such good fun. Will definitely have to go back again some time!
@@bujin1977 grew up in a town 70 miles from Edinburgh, when the Welsh arrived the population doubled for a week, few had tickets. It was always immense fun. Our mutual dislike of our neighbour helped
Always enjoyed the Scotland Wales matches. The welcome the Scot’s give us Welsh is amazing and it’s reciprocated xxx
@@garydalziel9312 Indeed. And in the year I was there, Wales even helped Scotland to win the 5 Nations by beating that neighbour in the last game. 😁
@Catherine Haywood and, for me, the Scots are always the best visitors when they come to Cardiff.
There is a tradition in Wales of supporting anyone but England, regardless of who it is. Just for fun of course...
During the Euro 2016 football tournament England had a game against Iceland. In the UK there just happens to be a supermarket chain that's also called Iceland.
I'll never forget everyone sitting in the pub watching that match wearing Iceland shopping bags as vests. Like any decent bunch of patriotic Welshmen would. 🤣🤣
Alan, your spot on when you say it sounds like a hymn being sung in church, Wales was well known for its choral singing in a religious setting.
@Driftwannabe 10 Because that's what churches and chapels are for.
@Driftwannabe 10
In today's society, someone might get offended if we have hymn singing in the Christian tradition.
Its very noticeable that the standards of singing have dropped at the rugby, if you watch highlights of games from the early 70s, you can still pick up the tune of Welsh hymns being sung.
@Driftwannabe 10 Because were not evil bastards who force everyone to follow the same faith
@Driftwannabe 10 probably because you’re not in primary school anymore fella
I would love to see you react to Dafydd Iwan's Yma o Hyd. Your reactions are so genuine and heartfelt. It's wonderful to see and hear.
Singing the national anthem, the Welsh come out top by a long way, it really does send a shiver through you, even if you're not Welsh. The Scots also sing their anthem before a sporting event but not to the level of the Welsh
Thank you EB for reacting to my anthem, it’s worth looking up the meaning of the lyrics and maybe you can understand the pride we have as such a small nation. If I had to pick another anthem it would have to be Flower of Scotland, another kick ass anthem 🏴🏴
👏👏👏 I’m English but that sends shivers down my spine. The English national anthem is nowhere near as emotional 👍
Trouble with English anthem is it bangs on about the king/Queen rather the celebrating the whole nation and it's people. I never stand for it
I can't agree more, have a look at Billy Connolly's take on "God Save the Queen." It's very good.
@@darrenleiberman3773 I’ll go check it out 👍👌
I’ve never understood why England has never chosen Jerusalem as it’s anthem. When you think of the spine tingling and inspiring nature of the Welsh and Scottish anthems and then compare them to the frankly dirge like ‘God Save The…’ there’s no contest. Jerusalem however would definitely fire up the English….what am I saying?! You keep on listening to your dirge lads, we Welsh and Scots will keep on being inspired to glorious victories over you 😂
@spacebar1892 Absolutely.
I went to the Wales Vs France game and when the anthem started you don't take in how loud it is with everyone singing because we just sing our hearts out with so much passion and only focus on that so then to watch it back on TV and when you hear how loud it is I remember just thinking wow I didn't notice how loud everyone was singing the anthem. That's how it was for me anyway. Love our Welsh anthem and I am so proud to be Welsh. 🏴🏴
The best anthem and the best flag in the world....the people are pretty awesome too! And we all know how to sing our anthem in Welsh!
So do some English-born Wales RU supporters.
The Glyndŵr flag is even greater IMO :-). Cymru am Byth!
Ahhhh this makes me smile! Cymru am byth 🙌🏾🏴
Wonderful! Not Welsh myself - English - but really touched by how a beardy American hearing this for the first time is so obviously moved. You look like you are trying to hide it a bit? Love you man
When Welsh lads get together to watch football and a song writer pops in ... worth listening to. ''Dafydd Iwan turns up at Wales World Cup party in Doha and sings Yma o Hyd''.
Thank you for your kind comment. I am a PROUD WELSHMAN and we love our city and our national anthem. Thank you for putting this view out to the world mate :)
im welsh live in wales and love it,
As a Welshman, it's incredible how much pride this makes you feel, it's beautiful, never gets old.
Being a proud Welshman and a patriotic rugby fan, I can honestly say that it's the greatest national anthem in the world! Every time you hear it you will hear the sincerity, the passion, the love for our country in every voice, and if you're in the stadium, it sends goosebumps all over your body! We're such a small country but regularly punch above our weight, and it's spurred on by a powerful hope and togetherness that encapsulates the whole nation, when Wales steps onto the pitch, be it rugby, soccer, whatever, that team knows that they have an entire country behind them that are proud of them regardless of the result. We won 30-3 that day, but regardless of the result, I love rugby for the fans too! Fans of both teams all sit mixed together, enjoying the game and the ups and downs together, and at the end of the match we all shake hands with respect! Soccer is disgusting in comparison. Anyway, I love this beautiful little nation, and you should all come sightseeing here, you will not be disappointed :) Cymru am byth 💖
Thank you for this review we are a small proud country and not many know we are the true Britains the first settlers there and our language and culture has endured
New Zealand has the Haka, we have our National Anthem
We actually started the global tradition of national anthems at sporting events by singing our anthem in response to the haka in 1905.
England's V formation response too the haka was great and fitting
Actually, New Zealand have both
To be fair, thy also have a lot of world cups.

If people ever get the chance go see for yourselves at the stadium, it'll send tingles down your spine, it's not just the anthem throughout the match they sing, in a land that has had so much taken away from it they can't take away the singing.
I went to Dan-y-Coed (under the wood) today. 🏴 Where 'Blaenwern' was written .. Beautiful ancient....The Welsh male voice choirs, sounded to me like the winds across the lands, Valleys...Like the roar and hush of the sea...because I've heard their singing voices, In the sound of the streams wild wind, lifting and dropping across the Valleys and mountains .. the rushes of harmonics streams, when the wind sound weaves back together to form one note, then wind like their voices contouring and flying again, and the wind whips up whirlpools, swaying trees accompany.. And I've heard it once or twice...I felt so blessed. I hope I hear it again..
.Love from Wild West Wales..✨
Makes me a proud Welsh person to hear my national anthem sung, the Welsh have a passion like no other.🏴👌
Thanks so much for covering this. It literally makes all the hairs on your body rise, whether the roof is open or not. There’s a reason why we are known as the Land of Song! We love our home. Even when we play like a wet rag in the wind, as happened in the last year! Still proud!

the welsh national anthem is so resounding so beautiful i dont understand a word but i could listen to it time and time again xxxxx
This is special to the Welsh perhaps because rugby is in the blood of Welsh people but also for a small country such a passionate National anthem brings the people closer to their roots.I have some Welsh stock in that my mothers maiden name was Davis with a Welsh uncle and to be honest this is my favourite anthem even above my own English national anthem.
As an American of Welsh descent thank you for posting this and thanks as well for appreciating it.
We have another 'anthem' - Yma O'Hyd: it was written by Dafydd Iwan, who went to prison for fighting for the Welsh language...decades later, every child in Wales was singing his song for the World Cup in Qatar. Starts with a mention of the Romans leaving Britain, and is about us still existing as a nation all these centuries later ua-cam.com/video/emPhXdwhQoE/v-deo.html
I prefer "Hymns and Arias" by Max Boyce.
We’re singing it at a concert in Brisbane.

As an Englishman, I cannot believe that is one of the most powerful anthem's I've ever heard. I reckon you could sing it from deep in the Welsh Valleys and people in the city could sing back

I love your reaction. You are so right about it sounding like a hymn. Wales is known for singing hymns and arias during its rugby games. What makes our anthem even more special is that it is about our land and language and sung in our language and sounds better when you just let the crowd sing A Cappella without any musical accompaniment messing up the tempo.

I went to a Welsh school in the valleys and first thing we learnt was the national anthem and so it may continue
Many football fans who attended the recent World Cup in Qatar, or watched games online or on tv, remarked that the singing of Hen Wlad fy'n Nhadau (Ancient Land of my Fathers), the Welsh anthem ( Yr anthem Cymreig) was the best rendition of all the 32 anthems sung. This despite the Welsh supporters numbers being very modest.
As a Welsh man the goosebumps I get when I hear or sing our anthem is unreal. We are a proud little nation 🏴🏴🏴

Lot of English fans saying the same thing, 'Goosebumps', the anthem is worth points on the board, respect to you Wales.I am going to have one of those DNA tests, I need to find some Welsh in me!
my great grandfather was welsh as was his father and his father before but he married an English girl so my nan was half welsh my mum was 1/4 welsh now with me you would be scaping the bottom of the milk churn to find my welsh side running at 1/8 but when I hear Mae hen gwlad fy nhadau something strange comes over me I feel a joy and a spirit and I feel as welsh as the next man and proud to know welsh blood flows in my veins no matter how little. I did go to Swansea 50 years ago to see my 2nd and third cousins the first time I saw them 70 years ago I was 8 yrs old and went to my great aunts funeral, on both occasions they made me feel as though I belonged, now sadly they have all pasted but hearing and singing the anthem somehow I still feel I belong.
@@pv-mm2or Thanks for that P V,we kind of know things intuitively don't we.I've promised myself to have a DNA test to try & locate my ancestry,I don't know why I should feel such an affinity for Wales bit I do.If I find there is no connection to Wales I will be mystified, but it would be a good feeling to have a connection to an ancient race.Maybe I'm just a romantic, many Welsh people feel a real connection to their ancestral heritage & this for me is magical.
@@paulstarr6316 you're right Paul the connections we have may not always be that clear, over the century's millions of welsh have left these shore's for a better life elsewhere, Australia, Canada and America, look for sheep farms and miners anywhere in the world you'll find welsh men and women, In a few generations they lose the welsh names through marriage or forget where they came from originally, In the middle of south America there are sheep ranches and settlements 150 years or more old and they still speak welsh imagine decedents of those people retuning to Britain with names like Rodrigo, or Evans both claiming to be Argentinian but there true history lost forever. even with DNA we may never really discover the truth but it would be nice if all the pieces fell into place, even if it leads us in a different direction.
As a Welsh woman. Thank you for the amazing coronation. It was stunning. I watched it on my tv..Wait until you get to Wales for the rugby. The welcome will be in the hillside.. Love from Wales.
Even this English man pressed the like button 👍
I am Welsh and I think that you have got it spot on. I live in England and yet I am brought to tears as I sing along to the tv rendition, all alone by myself, I remember home ... the feeling is called Hiraeth. I don't know why The Welsh in America are so unknown, The Scots and Irish are well known, the English are colonial people, some how we have slipped under the radar. The English, today, are our Best Friends, but we don't tell them that in case it goes to their head in their normal superior manner. We sing our Anthem because we were here before the Roman's let alone the English :-) Imagine if Sitting Bull's people were still ranting against Custer 2000 years later ... well that is how we sing our song before 'playing' England :-) x
You should watch Liverpool fans singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" at Melbourne Australia. It is spine tingling and awesome.
Just watch It!!!!
That's not just singing, that's a 70,000 (maybe more) strong choir, all in time, all in tune, incredible! Are you watching Gareth Malone? I'm English but it brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it.
Hello Alan. I like watching Welsh teams play, despite being English, because they always display such passion. I even watch their football team in Welsh on the Welsh satellite TV channel. Their country has less people than my county, though here in Northern England, Rugby League is more popular than Rugby Union.
Before Union went professional, my local team were featured in jokes by Welsh comedian Max Boyce as sending "Bradford Northern spies" to recruit Welsh players.
Diolch yn fawr brawdd ( thank you, brother) but little bit of an understatement, saying we have less people than you, yeah by about what 50m? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 just kidding tho.Small we are, but big in pride & passion for our country, im from the max boyce era myself, and remember well the bradford northern spy sketch🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿👏🏽👏🏽

The Welsh anthem was written in Welsh by a father & son, it's about the language, the culture , the people, the land. It surely is what an anthem should express & the most noble of all national anthems, in thousand years we Scots could not match his beautiful expression of pride & love for our land.
