HI! I too find crafting calming. It also helps me with stress & depression. I know these things are expensive, but it is worth it especially if it helps give us relief...the fact that we've created something unique and beautiful is a bonus. Please start again!
watched this a dozen times - just mesmerizing & stunning work - you have inspired me to start doing crafts again - I lost thousands of dollars worth of craft supplies in a house fire (to the ground fire) & just never went back - my doctor recently told me I HAD to find a stress reliever or die - I am at the MAX on bp meds & watching this I recalled how very CALMING & cathartic it was to create - I'm trying to find people getting rid of their excess craft stuff LOL expensive 4 a fixed income!
ONCE AGAIN..you've taken my breathe away...You continue to amaze me with each new video. These are absolutely Gorgeous..who would think they started with chipboard! I think I've favorited all your videos.. You are one of the most talented artists I've seen on You Tube. Thank You so Much for Sharing your immense talent with us!!!
I have wanted to do this for a good two years, but I finally got the tools and materials to try it--thank you so much for inspiring me to expand my crafting boundaries!
this is my first video on stamping.. i love the powders and stamps. im 54 years old. and sitting here in total amazement over the lovely crafts you can make. it takes me a very long time to make crafts due to my .disabilities. but you have raised the bar on what some knowledge and tools. could help me to try to earn. with the work I try to make. thank you
@kiraaxchaos Hi, If you watch the video, I have listed all the materials using annotation bubbles. You should be able to pause the video and make a list, but let me know if there's anything I've missed. Hugs, Rach
Once I get a few items I'll let you know how it goes - I am so excited and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS - you may very well have saved my life before this is over I bought the gesso and UTEE today and will be getting the heat gun and powders as money allows- so many memories of how RELAXING it was came flooding back - I was in heaven in those days and cannot believe after the fire I just never went back - the loss was overwhelming I think THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH
Rach you are simply marvolous and I adore you. Don't let the buggers change a thing about you. You inspire me so much every day. I have a lot of health problems and I can't wait to get well so I can get back into my artwork and do things like you are. People want spoken cause they can't watch something through while they do something else...well if they want to learn how to do it they have to actually pay attention and thats it. Great videos I keep going in for marathons of them at a time.
Oh my goodness-simply gorgeous! I can't believe you took plain ol chipboard and created such beautiful pieces!! I'm going to try this today.... If only I had your talent :) thank you so much for sharing with us! Love your work...
Rach, DON'T CHANGE A THING! I love your theme music! I know when I watch one of your videos, that uplifting happy music and your quick motion video are about to show me an awesome technique! In fact, I hear the music in my head, even before I push play! LOL! I love your willingness to show us all your techniques and beautiful creations. No you can't please everyone, but you make a lot of artists wannabe's like me VERY pleased! ReNae in Kansas USA
No, you do not need to speak in your tutorials...you make the audience perfecty understand what you're doing...Plus many of us comr from different countries and might have trouble understanding everything... Great work... Greetings from Greece!
@alohachristine Hi, Thanks for your comment & question. I haven't found another way to achieve this look without UTEE. The reason you need several layers is to create enough thickness for the stamping to leave a good impression. Epoxy would not work for this technique as it is self levelling and the impression would be lost. Hope that helps, hugs, Rachel
You amaze me with the amount of creativity you show. You are very talented and your work is beautiful. I appreciate your tutorials. Thanks for sharing.
Rach--I so wish I could come to your house for just a few hours and watch you design in person...you work is AWESOME....I am so going to try that technique! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!!!
Rach - you've done it yet again! Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! I'm going to go look for my black gesso right now. I so look forward to watching your videos. They are a breath of fresh air. be well, Robin
I know it's now 2012 but while having crafted for some time, only just using Utee. Came across your video & was just blown away!!! Absolutely Stunning - want to do it NOW! Thank you & please keep this available for others to be inspired. Thank you can:))
This is the first video of yours that I found and I am amazed. I can't wait to try this out and use up all the odd chipboard pieces I have. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent.
Fab and inspiring video. I've done triple embossing before and have used all kinds of stamps and never damaged any yet. I think it depends on if you leave it in situ or remove straight away. Love the xtra steps you did afterwards will be giving this a go.
Hi, Chipboard is also a type of wood, but in the craft world it refers to super thick card - like mount board. It is sometimes also called greyboard - depending on which country you are in. I wouldn't try plastic though - It may melt with the heat from the heat gun and UTEE.
Best tutorials around - love your work, very inspiring. I love the fact that your videos are elapsed time and that you just have lovely music. Love your style!
Truthfully I was getting ready for bed, ... I was half asleep... but wanted to watch your video... (with one eye open... it's been a long day...) I thought your video would be like most others... WAS I WRONG!!! ... "WOW"... I am totally amazed how much in depth you went... I love this video... You did a "Beautiful" job... Thank you so much for sharing... ;)... Excuse me, I am going to go watch it again... and again... ;)
