Thanks Robert - totally agree with trying to get it as right as possible in camera :) Thereafter its minimal adjustments required - thanks for the 'O' key tip too - didn't know about that ! Have a great weekend too :)
Yeah, it's useful. I think (although I'm away from home at the moment, and can't check to be sure) if you press shift and O, it will cycle through variations of that particular guide pattern. Thanks for watching.
But what about printing? You say don't worry about standard sizes, but most professional print stores only print at standard sizes. And then there is the framing, if it's not a standard size you need to pay extra to get it framed. Any thoughts? Thanks.
If your goal is to create an image at a specific size, then cropping to a different size isn't an option. My goal though, is almost always to create the best image I can, and this has more importance than print requirements. If I feel like the image is good enough to print, it's probably worth spending the extra money to do it at the optimum dimensions. Thanks for watching. 😊
I disagree so much with the train station photograph! The platform guy looking out the platform and the train is the second most interesting thing happening in the picture! The woman on the right is so distracting to me
I like the uncropped railway station shot much better than the cropped one. Lot more interesting, telling more of a story.
Thanks for sharing and for checking out the video. 😊
This was simple, to the point, and the accent kept me around to the end. Thank you!!
Thanks Brandonn. Much appreciated. 😊
Thanks Robert, a very useful reminder of the reason why we crop. I think your disclaimer at the end was the most powerful thanks again
Thanks Tony.

It looks very nice. As does Kamikochi. 😊
This is where I go wrong. I don’t crop and end up with unwanted content and lose the main focus of the image.
Should've made 6 fingers on one hand for a thumbnail :D
Damn, can't believe I didn't think of that! 😆
