This video is going to very informative for someone who's planning to apply to ESSEC or any other school for that matter as most of the schools have almost the same components. Hey! Do you think a low cgpa of 6.4( without backlogs) would be a hindrance to admission in top colleges for MiM if I get a GMAT score of around 700 ? I already have a work experience of 14 months in an IT Company. Thanks

Hey, Arif you are doing a great job educating people who aspire to get admitted into a grand institution like essec. I just wanted to ask you a question. I currently am working part time while pursuing a degree in economics. Do you think that this part time experience( foodpanda- service operations department) will be perceived well by the admissions board? Will they count as a job experience in essec?
If you are learning something then that is EXPERIENCE. You just need to convey it like that when asked in your interview

Bro how you financed your studies as the fee for mim in essec is 50k euro for 2 years( tution fee alone)

If we have some extracurriculars like piano or violin.. how much proficient should we be in it? What level of impact should we have made with it to add as an extracurricular? And what if there is a wide gap..
It just depends if you can play it or if asked. No one would care if there is a gap. If you can play, you should mention it as a skill
I am dearly confused if i should go for IELTS? or tofel? for a business college based in France? I don't really have the English speaking native and I don't think I'll be exempted.
Enquire from the schools that you want to attend as to which one they accept. If all of them accept both, then it is completely 50-50 and your choice.
I had graduated from BIT MESRA, RANCHI. So, how to check whether it's considered as an English-speaking college or not?
Just ask the academic section to issue a bonafide certificate and send it where you want to apply

Email the school and get a certificate and use that in your MiM application

I think, yes, you can but you will have to also let them know about your preference obviously

Do ESSEC , HEC and other schools prefer GMAT over GRE scores for the MIM applicants?
No they don't. Both exam are given equal weightage by the AdCom.
However, after you go to a school and you apply for internships/jobs, some companies ask for GMAT score. Hence, GMAT is generally preferred by students themselves.

Hey Arif, I've got 59.3% in graduation and no work ex till now. I am thinking of giving GMAT and confident of getting a score around 700. Should I be applying to tier 1 MiM/MSc programs and are there chances of getting selected with 2:2 degree in UK? Please reply, would like to know your views. 😄
If you get very good GMAT, you can compensate for the low graduation marks. Its all in your application.

I would say 10-15%

Not all. You can visit the school's website to see if they require it or not

You can mail the school you want to about your previous school and they will let you know

I guess you mean visa - yes I paid the deposit first because you apply for the visa only a few months before you go

ESSEC has a comprehensive system wherein it sends the professors or Managers you provide info of an email to fill up details about you. It’s not a traditional LOR

There was a category for extra curricular and it had a text box to fill more info so I added my link there
What is your Major's for mim bro?
There is no major as such. You can select subjects as per your interest and gain all the knowledge in 1 particular field or become a generalist
Is a GRE score of 309 unacceptable for ESSEC?
GRE score is just 1 facet of a big application process so I can't comment on your score individually but I would suggest to try and score higher. A score above 320 is advisable.

The application cycle starts from October ( Round 1) and go till April ( Round 4 ) for the Grande Ecole MiM Program

Hey Arif, I am considering ESSEC for the MIM program, I did my BTech in CS from UPTU with a CGPA of 6.5/10 in 2017, I worked with Amazon for 18 months as a CSE( although I played many different roles other than CSE during my tenure). I gave my GRE and scored 328/340. I just need your help over some queries. I would really appreciate if your reply back. Thanks 😊
