Just making my way through your content after stumbling across your skin. Total game changer although I admit I had 2 failed attempts to play with it. Its just so alien to start with but i'm now getting the hang of it. Also kudos for the use of "right in the goolies", gave me a right chuckle over my morning cornflakes. KUTGW !
Yeah, it does take some while to get used to. I think the first time I tried attributeless, I lasted 2 months in game, gave up and didn't try again for 2 years!!
I absolutely agree with the others here : your skin is a sight for sore eyes. I am trying to reinstall Zagallos 1970 Brazil using Swedish AIk and it’s so much fun ❤
I'm a little confused by your comment! The second sentence sounds positive, but "sight for sore eyes" isn't. I'm always happy to listen to feedback on it.
I've been playing with your skin since i download it. It's like another game and for me, the best skin so far for my style. Thank you so much for your work . For the matches, i think with the goals and key plays will be enough , and your thoughts about the final result about It. Keep going with your execellent job man.
As a German football fan (no association w/ Bremen, though) I appreciate the spotlight shone on Schaaf's accomplishments. He was truly an icon of early 2000s football here, a rare high note in an otherwise underwhelming league. His teams often just displayed an old school attitude of "we'll just score more than you" but his approach was more sophisticated, I believe. That was overshadowed, or hidden, if you will by his gruff demeanor (a bit similar to Sammer). There are loads of, let's say, not so great players who owe their stellar careers to him. But he also had a knack for uncovering gems or providing them with the next step.
A fascinating bloke through and through. Being a true one club man, having a very distinct tactical identity, and being a miserable bastard 😂. Definitely agree that I don't think players like Borowski, Fritz, Klasnic, etc... would've shone as much without his guidance. Even Diego dropped off when he left.
Congratulations on another great episode, mate :) I would never have decided to start with a team from the Greek league and, however, seeing this serious about PAOK already has me hyped hehe For me, this way of telling your stories is ideal, you know. However, if I had to look for an alternative, I would choose to make a compilation episode of the games played each month. Maybe it's a good alternative if it allows you to do more storytelling (I think it's your strength and why you stand out from the rest) instead of a more "traditional" FM game. ;) So, Merry Christmas to you too and...looking forward to continuing to see more about this start of the season!!
Thank you, Manuel! I definitely agree that the I'm better at the storytelling than the commentating!! Listening back to game commentary after I've recorded it is very awkward 🤣
Got your Skin and loving it and I am now catching up on this series. You are a quality content creator. A question: What is your approach with regards to Staff Responsibilities and taking a realistic approach to it? (In this video you lose a good player, did you turn all that work over to your staff and have no influence on it or somewhere in between)
Regarding this video, we set up in Real World mode with the transfer window disabled, so all the transfers were just those that happened in real life on the dates they happened in real life. There is little I delegate. As mentioned in the first episode, we are very dogmatic, and that requires quite a high level of control.
Vasilis Hatzipanagis getting a shout was the bare minimum I expected of this series. Fellow Mustermanner's: Go and find all the footage you can on him. He was.absolutely filthy.
I'd be keen to know how many people are familiar with pre-Euro 2004 Greek players. Karagounis had already made his big move by then, Machlas had won the European Golden Shoe a few years earlier, and there's been a few players to make the move to the UK (Donis, Zagorakis, Dabizas, Stelios). Other than that I'm not sure how well known, Greek players were in Europe
Giorgos Georgiadis at Newcastle, Demis Nikolaidis at Atletico Madrid, Vassilis Tsiartas at Sevilla, Grigoris Georgatos at Inter, Zisis Vryzas at Peruggia, Dellas at Roma/Peruggia, Charisteas at Werder Bremen were all pre-Euro 2004 :) Then after Euro the list got bigger, you got Samaras at Celtic post 2008, Basinas & Chalkias at Portsmouth and the former in Mallorca too, Seitaridis at Porto, Atletico, Kapsis at Bordeaux etc.
Hello! Happy Holidays! Some difficult greek names there on the video! Great start to the season and great reasoning behind your choices! I choose the "Nothing" approach and I'm telling you here cause I don't know how to find the poll! Cheers!
hello!!! I've been wondering if you work ball into box. You are attacking with somewhat high tempo (noramally work ball into box to avoid constant loss of possession) and still you are making goals with early crosses. Thank you!
Thank you, dude! Glad you enjoyed it, and perhaps it might even be better that you've found it now than when it was released. You can binge all the episodes so far in an afternoon!!!
Awesome. That's one of the reasons I chose the Greek Super League. Should be possible to regularly compete at the top, the league structure means you play the bigger teams more often, and then the real challenge is trying to make an impact in Europe. UCL may always be too far away, but getting to the Quarters, maybe even Semis, would be a great achievement!
You'll enjoy my venture into streaming at the end of the month, then. The plan is to have a tactical identity, but adapt very heavily game-to-game to counter opposition.
another great video! i'm wondering if you have any connection to germany? because obviously your name is the equivalent to john doe, your knowledge about schaaf, bremen etc. and the decision to include that into your career is not seen regularly for content outside of germany
I don't, it's just coincidence! The channel is named after the skin, which itself was named after "Jens Mustermann" - because whilst the skin changes the appearance, it's still the same game at the end of the day. Exactly the same way that Jens Mustermann was still Oliver Kahn, even though the name was different. As for Schaaf/Bremen, this comes from the vote for a dogmatic manager. To do the save properly, I wanted to do some research and have a backstory and reason why we would play a certain way. I was looking at Greek players who had played abroad to find some inspiration for a style that was not necessarily what one expects from "Greek football". Originally, I was going to base it on Nikos Machlas, who won the European Golden Shoe whilst playing in Holland, but a lot of his coaches had that Total Football influence, and I didn't want to do something similar to the Ajax save in FM23. That brought me to Angelos Charisteas. His spell at Bremen might've been short, but I remember really enjoying that Bremen team back in the early 2000s. My memories were actually of a slightly later period - probably around 2006/7-ish when they had players like Diego and Clemens Fritz playing for them. I thought it would be interesting to see how that could be adapated for a more modern style. That was a far too long answer, sorry! I could've made it shorter by just saying "I like football" 😂
@@mustermannfm first of all, that's a great answer so no worries. i've only been playing fm since 2021, so i wasnt familiar that oliver kahn did not have a real name in the past games, i just thought you picked the mustermann name as a generic identity for some anonymity. schaaf is definitely a cool choice for a dogmatic manager, especially because his system has been quite successful i believe it's certainly interesting using adaptations from systems that have worked for real teams in the past; i'm a big fan of back three formations with wingbacks and have tried out implementing the conte system in my current save, but i do find myself switching back to 4-2-3-1 gegenpress, because i haven't been really successful with the system after a season. do you ever do radical system changes when you have the feeling that the current system is not working or do you try to limit the changes within the system, regardless of the results?
@@amment. Schaaf is a cool figure, and it's definitely a shame that he doesn't seem to garner much attention despite his successes. I'm a big fan of 3-at-the-back systems, too, and there is definitely an element of Conte in having wing-backs who are actually just wingers. I'll see how things get on, but in the past I've often found that it's not until near the end of an FM's life-cycle that I truly get to grip with it. Like, I need to play in more "safe" formations first, understand the match engine, and then I can apply that to making a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 that actually works. Which means this could end up being a very short career 😂 In terms of making big changes, it really depends on what I set out to do. For something like this save, where the plan is to be very strongly wed to the core concept, then no. We'll try and limit changes within the system and if we fail, then we fail. In other saves, where maybe my goals are just to win, I'll be more flexible!
@@mustermannfm since you‘ve immediately started implementing a 3-4-3 we‘ll see what happens haha well my goal in my current save is success, no matter what, so your answer made me feel less bad about the decision to use a more structured and known system 😂 if the squad quality increases i'll try to head back the the 3-5-2 and see what happens
A couple of mentions for this. Ironically, I actually reduced the levels on the in-game volume for the next episode, but still got similar comments, so I'll possibly look to tweak it further!
There is no link. The tactic, whilst sticking to the principles outlined, will change from game-to-have depending on the players selected and opposition.

Thank you very much, dude. I'm glad someone enjoys the humour - even I find myself groaning at my jokes sometimes 😂
I'd held out on starting to watch this so I'd have a few to binge and it has absolutely been worth the wait, quality work so far!

Loving this series so far!
