92X - WXGT-FM Commercial (1990)

Here's a television commercial for the great 92-X WXGT-FM in Columbus, Great Trails sister station to the great Z-93 WGTZ-FM in Dayton. Featuring the morning crew with off-the-wall morning man Tom Kelly (now at KCYE Las Vegas), Kelly Quinn (now at WMNI Columbus) and Scott McKenzie (now at WOMX Orlando). February, 1990.
The fact that almost 20 years later, all three have survived as morning personalities speaks to their talent! What a great morning show!

The "GT" in the WXGT and WGTZ call letters stands for Great Trails Broadcasting. If you notice, the 92X and Z93 logos were also the same (they even used the same billboards). 92X was a great Top-40 station, similar to Z93 in format and music played. By the time of this commercial, however, WXGT had abandoned Top-40 in favor of "Rock-40" as they couldn't compete with? WNCI's daily cash giveaways. Loved both 92X and Z93!

Not one of them (Scott McKenzie) not that he left the station, but he also died (left the world) half a year ago.
