73 yr old here. Watching every show and wish I was 30 yrs younger. No animals but fruit trees and vegetable and flower gardens and getting into tinctures and such. Have always been interested in healthy living but unfortunately my 3 children are not in the least interested in it at all. LOVE your family!
I’m 16, we have chickens, pigs, a couple of milk cows, sheep, dogs, cats and a garden. I do most of the work around the homestead so it is so encouraging to see where I could be in the years to come. I have enjoyed your editing Austin, the music and the aesthetics are excellent. Ive been watching since the end of the American Farm Tour (bye Maple) and all of the changes through out the years have been great, everything has been fluid and different, just like life. I remember Boots joshing Justin about his crazy strings, this channel has been following life, which moves, you have always shown real life and the ideas, changes that you implement as well as whether it works or new ideas that come from it. There are people who just want to bring others down, always. Pay them no heed.
I’m 24 and just married. Year two on our homestead here in northern Alabama. The reason we homestead and have chosen this life for ourselves is much due to the Rhodes and a hand full of other UA-camrs. I thank you guys so much for all the videos. Not young myself but I do have my son watching with me and he's 26. Love the show and I have 20 chickens in my backyard. Hope that's counted for the crazy chicken lady title. As a side note I dance with my Hens and rooster every morning!
I was one who gave constructive criticism once, months ago, that some of us older folks had a hard time with all the quick changing shots and couldn’t focus on what was being shown. That has been corrected and I am back to being able to watch, learn and enjoy. Sometimes it’s actually about actual reasons why people ask if you can slow down the flashing. It matters to some of us to be able to watch. Keep up the good work.
@grandmab9262 I never commented but that was also my only issue. Especially the few times they put words on screen, they would go so fast I couldn't read them. I even had trouble stopping on them to read after rewinding 10 secs. Otherwise, I am ok with the edits. Not all are my cup of tea but they aren't trying to please just me. 😊
You always say to use a chick shaw rather than clean out a coop and I can see that can work but I am over 70 with chickens and we used our old corn crib and made a coop for the chickens that is safe with a cement floor and do the deep litter method and it works fine for and we have about a acre run for them. So at our age we will stick with what we have especially since we only have 12 hens.
I think that people (the ones complaining) sometimes forget the BIG picture.. Justin is teaching us to be..self sufficient. Living a sustainable life.. la la… let me be free…
I agree with the person who said to sell the things as kits..get local business involved in prepping and sending out, most homesteaders when theyre setting out need these things early on..most of us dont have confident diy skills or a workshop full of tools. I know i can get overwhelmed trying to follow a book of instructions. Theres only so many instructional workshops folk can attend in a year or even a lifetime! Even online.

I'm telling you. The book is a great idea. For sure. But you would make way way more money if you sold these coops as kits. All the wood already cut to length, pilot holes drilled, hardwear included. Everything. The whole coop in a box, shipped right to your door.

Here is what you should do- ignore all negative comments unless they are constructive, not mean spirited and you find some value in them- otherwise, chalk them up to unhappy, jealous people who have nothing better to do then spread negativity and try to make others feel as bad as they do! Your vlogs are great- editing included, your family is beautiful- happy healthy and thriving-nothing better!

Hi there 27 here, I've been watching for years... a few before Henry was born. I've watched all the changes. 1. I do miss the longer content that was teaching not always promoting. I know it's yourself and company's you truly stand by, this is just my opinion. 2. I don't mind the music style, the volume is loud at times. Startles me at times. 3. I do love when becc comes on, I wish for more of her presence and learning some of what she does, how and why. 4. Lastly the kids interests and the hobbies haven't been shared as much.... I feel as through cutting the stores and growing everything is the only focus now. Adding to selling products. As to when you'd come just share new things your learning, the progresses, or even sharing other authors your reading. I miss that part. Your land has great story, the sharing on here has definitely fallen since Abundance + and all the other business ventures. Again none of this is ment to be a bad thing or an attack. I was called upon so I'm only giving my thoughts. Alot of content is being reserved only for members. Some you use to share here. This is leaving us who can't afford a streaming platform right now to have to settle for our 10 minutes compare to the min 20 min it used to be..... I enjoyed the videos more and felt their was more information worth sharing with others. Other included family who have also been farming for 50+ years and my aunt who is taking over. That's missing now.

I would say yes, because these are actually originally designed and built by Justin. The new builds are simply refined to be better by someone who is an actual engineer and carpenter. Why would Justin want to put out something that people are paying for that is not as good as it can possibly be?

You do a very good job. you will do a better job in the future if you "learn" from all this. Don't let critiques break you. You are better than that. Here is what you should do- ignore all negative comments unless they are constructive, not mean spirited and you find some value in them- otherwise, chalk them up to unhappy, jealous people who have nothing better to do then spread negativity and try to make others feel as bad as they do! Your vlogs are great- editing included, your family is beautiful- happy healthy and thriving-nothing better!

Hi there 27 here, I've been watching for years... a few before Henry was born. I've watched all the changes. 1. I do miss the longer content that was teaching not always promoting. I know it's yourself and company's you truly stand by, this is just my opinion. 2. I don't mind the music style, the volume is loud at times. Startles me at times. 3. I do love when becc comes on, I wish for more of her presence and learning some of what she does, how and why. 4. Lastly the kids interests and the hobbies haven't been shared as much.... I feel as through cutting the stores and growing everything is the only focus now. Adding to selling products. As to when you'd come just share new things your learning, the progresses, or even sharing other authors your reading. I miss that part. Your land has great story, the sharing on here has definitely fallen since Abundance + and all the other business ventures. Again none of this is ment to be a bad thing or an attack. I was called upon so I'm only giving my thoughts. Alot of content is being reserved only for members. Some you use to share here. This is leaving us who can't afford a streaming platform right now to have to settle for our 10 minutes compare to the min 20 min it used to be..... I enjoyed the videos more and felt their was more information worth sharing with others. Other included family who have also been farming for 50+ years and my aunt who is taking over. That's missing now.
And yes I do like Austin's filming as well as some of the reference clips or photos he pulls. Ik it's a team effort, just sharing as a forever viewer.

I would say yes, because these are actually originally designed and built by Justin. The new builds are simply refined to be better by someone who is an actual engineer and carpenter. Why would Justin want to put out something that people are paying for that is not as good as it can possibly be?
