it is so great to see some 2t scooter modified video in a english channel ! I learnt a lot of technique from your video sir. subscribe already ,keep up the great work
Good idea! Once I start the drag scooter build, that will for sure be one video but I don't think its necessary unless you are competing in some race league. The key is to make sure that when the piston is at bottom dead centre that the top of the piston lines up perfectly with the bottom of the exhaust port. If not then some porting or using metal spacers can achieve this.
Hello, is there any difference between the case match and the case match? I am using a 48mm cylinder without matching the case.My scooter is Julio Honda.I live in Korea.
Ok. It depends on what cylinder you are using. TWH cylinders have quite large Boost Ports so the case needs matching. You can use the gasket from your cylinder on your case to see how it matches up.
That’s a good question. To be honest, I didn’t go that in depth with it. Just ported it out as wide as the case could take it without breaking through. For measuring this kind of thing you would most likely need a timing degree wheel which you will be able to find online. There is even a free printable one on the 49ccscoot forum. Lots of tutorials on UA-cam to show you how to set them up. Hope this helps!
Nice video man! I'm getting hook with dio scooters. I want to know if porting is also applicable for 50cc cylinder? I want to add more power on a little block. I hope you can give me some advice.
If you're going to keep it with the original cylinder then porting the intake wouldn't hurt. Also you can play with the roller weights. Make sure to check your CVT is dialed in and working smoothly too. If you do any of these things then be sure to adjust your carburetor accordingly. For example, if you increase airflow then you will need to increase fuelling to keep the air/fuel ratio correct. Check on the condition of your spark plug to see if the mixture is lean or rich.
@@thaitorque8847 Im currently using koso racing pulley with 6 and 8 roller combination. My cvt is also koso racing clutch and big td and 17 41 gearings. My top speed is 60+ kph which is not bad for a 50cc but want o add more power and aesthetics. Do you think I can use 24mm carbs? Also you mention about checking the sp if the mixture is lean or rich. What is the indication for me to tell if lean or rich?
The size of your carb depends on a lot of things. Over here in Thailand most people use 28mm carbs for common builds like 47/48mm from what I can tell. The Koso CVT stuff is pretty good. Good value for money at least. Just make sure you keep the inside on the clutch cover clean and rough up where the clutch makes contact with the cover. Over time it becomes really smooth and reduces clutch bite. As for the spark plug, have a quick search on google images and you can find plenty of spark plug reading charts. You're looking for a cardboard/coffee kind of colour to the plug. Rich will show a dark colour and lean with show a white colour. Lean is very bad for your engine.
Good question. 👍 I was having lots of trouble tuning that carb so swapped for a 28mm SWR with 110main and 45pilot which seemed to run pretty well on that setup, maybe a little rich not nothing major. Hope that helps.
To be fair, it made a world of difference. It picked up so much quicker than unported. Well worth doing if you have all the kit to do it with, a steady hand and a spare few hours. 👍🏻

Great! Can you tell me which cylinder it uses
I'm using a TWH 48mm cylinder.
hello what result did it make ? are you still in thailand ?
What is your gear ratio sir?
What cc is that scooter
How many jets did u need to go up on the carb after porting?
Good question. 👍

Hello.max speed?
Actually, I’ve never maxed out my scooter but had it to 100kph. 👍🏻
Did you get the results you expected.

@@thaitorque8847 awesome, I'm glad your mods worked. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man. I appreciate the feedback!
@@thaitorque8847 you're welcome. Also what size is this motor anyways. I'm thinking 80cc but not too sure.
Sadly I think it is just about 72cc. No crank yet. Watch this space though. That could very soon be changing.
Can you read the Thai language
Sadly not but I have some friends here who can translate stuff for me if I need.
If you have any questions, feel free to write it down in thai and I can translate it and try to give some advice! 👍🏻
