Proper old school singer. No gimmicks just a great voice and performance. Most singers drop the keys of songs but this is still in the same key as when he was in his early twenties.
When people write songs that mean something a whole lifetime 🙏
Martin Fry has such a unique voice.. those high notes! incredible .. thankyou ABC, such a big part of my life.. this song means so much to me.
Martin hasn't lost anything. My fav ABC song
same, its absolutely haunting
Nothing is as heartbreakingly beautiful as to him as old man singing this song. Love hits you a harder when you get old. So does this song.
Incredible live version.
Total respect to a band that has stood the test of time.
I salute you
🙏✊👏👏👏👏
1982 Lexicon of love ❤. Was 16 then...much of love in the air then.
Excellent - Martin’s voice is as good as ever it was - a joy to be transported back to when singers were natural ❤️🌟
Top 3 favorite song in my 57 years of life....never tire of it. What a treat to see them perform it again, the voice is still amazing!
58 one of best love songs❤.
Now that's what I call Music.
That guy still has an amazing voice unbelievable perfection
No auto tune just all natural ability /talent a real frontman ! Martin Fry /ABC should be in the rock n roll hall of fame!
This and When Smokey sings two of my favourite 80s songs - this is a great version. Love it.
Martin has still got a great voice and a great band 👍
Nobody from that era still has that caliber of a voice. ABC⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ahhh, sorry to burst your bubble, but Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet was on the same level. Midge Ure from Ultravox had a great voice but crappy songs. Go listen to Spandau Ballet, Gold, True, Into the Barricades, those Groups who were under the "New Romantics" banner were quite incredible and under appreciated, the 80's sliding down from the 60's and 70's high.l
Yes they do.
Also Robert from the Cure
Paul Rodgers, he's not from the pop genre, but his voice is incredible.
Billy joel!!!
One of the greatest songs ever written
This is my KIND of poetry
We long for lyrics and melodies like these today...
There is if you listen for them x
ABC is the music of my youth, remember my first holiday without my parents, kissing Billy from Newcastle to this song 😂
PURE MAGIC. M Fry still has it. It makes you wonder what has happened to popular music in 2024. We need as much of this beautiful energy now than we ever did. Trying hard not to get consumed by by the darkness of 2024. So many I've known are gone. Who will be here going forward?
My all time favorite song. Martin Fry nails it. Passion and Pain.
When I heard the original with the strings and all I thought id found the best tune ever . Still hasn’t dated in my books beautiful!
Thanks ABC. You made the memories and the 80s the best!
Who needs ABC when we have you Sir Martin?
I swear that of all the singers from the eighties, Martin Fry's voice has held up THE BEST.
He about the only one whose voice sounds virtually unchanged forty-plus years later, and-
unlike his peers-he can STILL hit all the high notes with ease and perfection. 👍👍
All of my heart means so much to me, I broke up with my first love right around the time when it came out, not ashamed to say it still brings a tear to my eyes to this day, bitter sweet memories
Same 😢 i was in a very toxic relationship and it dragged on and on. Even after we broke up.
Pure Class 👌 well done Martin and the Band, luv it 🩵, see you in Bath this Tuesday, 13th February 2024
Just saw ABC last Friday in Niagara falls. They were great .his voice still very good
One of ABC's best and Martin Fry's vocals sound just as great today as they did back in the day!
I've always loved this. What a beautiful version!
Sure brings back memories.❤
This is an incredible live performance from this now legendary song.
Martin still has the voice that he had way back in the 80's.
Not many singers can pull such a live performance off, with so little music to hide behind.
Total respect to an artist that has stood the test of time.
I salute you.
🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
I think Martin Fry had throat cancer at one point, thank god he pulled through and he can still deliver this fantastic work of art.
When he had it !?
Still got it class is indeed ageless
That was, and still is, fantastically epic.
Went to see them a few years ago perform the lexicon of love with an orchestra. Best gig I've been too. Was perfection.
I've always liked Abc still sounds great.
Where did you see them with orchestra? I saw them in Toronto at the El Mocambo in July this year with a band but I would've preferred orchestra. Glad I saw them anyway since I waited 40 years to see them live
Supreme musicianship, and Martin hasn’t lost the vocals, it could be the 80s again……👍🇮🇲
What a voice….Long live Martin and ABC 👏
Now there were many great songs back in the 80s - but ABCs Martin Fry is one of the few who is STILL able to sing 'em in full quality!! 👍
Lexicon of Love is a classic 80s album. I love these guys.
AWESOME!!!!
This man is a superior performer..love his music.
I was 18 in summer 1982 when this was released. One of the happier memories of that time, thank you. Still sounding great all these years later.
Beautiful - the voice is still the same - thank you for the music :)
Sweet velvety Cotton candy powerful yet perfect voice
What a voice!!! I love it. Hugs from Brazil 😍😍
Absolutely tremendous that beautifully performed
40 years later - still packing it!
Amazing goosebumps thank you ABC
Bravo, Sir! Your voice is so clear, strong & pure. Love your voice. No auto tune here!!!!
I have always loved the interesting lyrics and style they were presented.
Sooo smooth. Beautiful voice
one great album- that is all you need
Ah this is too much,Martin Fry sounds exactly like he did in '82.Still my favourite song, just beautiful
Not same but matured. I read he had throat cancer,?
absolutely brilliant xx
Well done Martin. You still have the gift mate!!!
Lexicon Of Love. Such a special piece of work. Absolute favourite album ever.
This SHOULD'VE BEEN A NUMBER 1
What a song and what a cool bunch of dudes.
I've posted on a different (the original) version of this song to the same effect: I'd love to be able to sing this. As a teenager in love in the early 1980's, this song resonated more than any, and still does. Music, lyrics and Martin Fry's singing are all sublime.
Love your music..
Takes me back to when i was a youngester, played this album to death, had a great holiday in Jersey accompanied by this music
Thanks Martin for making my formative years so enjoyable! Such fabulous memories intertwined by your beautiful voice.
Favourite band ever..just make you smile 😎👌🏼

Never knew Pat Condell had such a great voice!
Una de sus mejores canciones. Gran versión en directo
Fabuloso. Que tome nota todo el que quiera cantar profesionalmente. Quevoz, que temazo.
