Laughing so hard no need to take everything off the cap clips off pretty easy and then you can go around the mirror undo both light unit screws remove it and reverse to fit new one fitting time 5 mins max You made it look hard it’s really not
I did see the method your referring too. However, with that one I feel you are more likely to break the clips that hold the outer casing in place as they were using the pry tool to unclip the outer casing. Using this method you can reach the clips with the a flat head screwdriver and unclip them without force. Either way the modification doesn’t take too long to do. I guess the method is down to personal preference.

Nice one, you thinking of adding the headlights and taillights?
Yeah I would love too! It would be good to make them LED too! Maybe a mod for the future!

That’s so cool! Hopefully the week goes quick and you’ll be rocking around in it in no time! What colour did you go for?

What’s it like a year later? Reviews on Amazon say they go faulty after a while
Thanks for the comment! Mine are still working completely fine! So far no issues 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Do you have folding mirrors also does your rear lights sweep?👀
No I don’t sadly! Really want to make my rear lights sweep in the future! Would make it look so cool!

Each to their own. I would rather spend an extra 10 mins doing something instead of risking breaking a clip.
There is a much more easy way of doing this, search it on UA-cam
