Haha, I thought you'd appreciate an update on them, Harold lol 😂. Admittedly they aren't looking too good at the moment lol.

I think they look OK Peter. You could try growing one in ground. I've had no issues with mine, I feed it when it's flowering potassium and coffee grinds

Thanks, Louise! Do you get edible-sized olives from your in-ground tree? I must admit I don't really eat olives, although I do like using olive oil.

They don't look that bad Peter, probably just a bit neglected. Like everything else i suppose they need more root space and feeding

Yeah, it's the same issue I have with many of my plants lol 😂. Sometimes I wonder how my garden and plants would look if I had been more restrained and stuck to just a few plants and given them more attention. But then again that sounds quite boring lol 😂

My small olive tree is very sparse next to my house on a south facing wall. Looks very weedy with thin extension growth. It’s potted but it survived when other trees locally died they are not really suited to colder areas. But grow and exist rather than thrive , but are a money spinner for Morrisons no doubt

Sounds like it's a bit like these then. They are very cold hardy, but they would definitely prefer warmer temperatures of course. I know some people give them a hard prune to try to encourage them to put out more growth. They would definitely do much better in the ground than in these pots. My friends who only live a few streets away planted one in their garden in a raised border about the time I got mine and it had grown a lot the last time I saw it.
