Great video looks like you guys had a great time. Try this next time you're tolling. Keep the colors the same for both poles, but when you troll make big 20ft or so zig-zags though the water, to the right and then to the left. Try not to troll straight. This will cause one line to go up shallow and the other to go down deep. The slower you go the deeper the one line will go. This method allows for more coverage of deep and shallow water as the lines go up and down. I use this method in the Mammoth Lakes and it works great. However, I use Max green mono 4 to 6lb , with a 3lb fluorocarbon leader. Also, when you reach the other end, move over about 50ft and go back the other way. Do a grid like pattern back and forth. Good luck.
I saw the charter boats in big bear using that method. They would go up the lake in a zig zag pattern and go down the opposite zig zag pattern. Good way to cover alot of water. Sometimes hard if there are other people on the water in a tighter area, but Ill have to try it one of these days.
Nice set-up! I planning on getting a striper someday this year. Haven't got one yet (legal size). I need to get myself a leadcore line set-up too just like yours. 👍
You’re a good Father, great job.
