- How to make homemade Sprite using nothing but soda water, lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup by Drinks Made Easy. There are so many sodas out there that have WAY too many chemicals in them, so we thought we'd bring you a simple 5 ingredient drink that tastes just like the Sprite you buy in the store. You can use this for any number of kids drinks, like the Shirley Temple or the Barbie.

Actually, in order to make sprite, you need citrus oil, which you can easily extract from lemon and limes
Ok, but let’s say you can’t cold press or wait for the oils to separate and you just want a tasty lemon lime soda now. This can get you there.

How close does it taste to sprite ? Also is there a way to make the 'simple syrup' with say some sugar substituted with something like stevia ? Thanks.
The more sugary version Paul made which I, Mike, drank at the end was pretty darn close. As for using something like stevia, yes you could do that, but the amounts will have to be played with to make sure you don't over do it. I would start with the amount you would use to replace a tsp of sugar and go from there.
Fun facts about me and sprite:
1) I knew what sprite the drink was before I knew what sprite the fairy was so when I read a line like "sprites flying around the forest" as a child I would picture little sprite cans with wings.
2) After knowing what the word sprite actually means I felt as if I was drinking the blood of sprites everytime i drink out of the bottle.
3)This is why I am lonely af years later.

I made some a while before I started watching this video, and all I did was add carbonated mineral water, a small spoonful of sugar, and some lime juice. It tase really close to actual sprite the way I made it.

It's a sound effect we added in. Kinda like the old Road Runner cartoons. If you're not aware of those, look them up and you'll see what we mean.

I’ve had a soda since I was little and I’ve gone crazy and I’ve been running around

Fyi, regular Sprite in Europe has only 6.3 g (about a teaspoon) of sugar in 330ml (one can), the rest is artificial sweeteners, so not that much sugar. Why they made that choice only with Sprite? No idea.
Maybe anything more and people didn't like it? In our experience, while Europeans do like their sweets, they're not as inclined to like overly sweet like Americans.

Amazon. Type in ice molds and look through to find elongated molds and you should be good to go.

It's a lemon and lime drink so it will make you a lemon soda drink. It'll be good, but it won't be homemade Sprite.

Simple syrup is equal parts water and sugar. The amounts can vary by drink so we tend to batch it for multiple uses.

I didn’t have soda water so I just used regular water it kinda tasted good but it was like sweet lemon water
Seltzer is a pretty key ingredient, but if you don't mind a flat taste you'll be good.

what is the simple syrup?
Simple syrup is equal parts by volume of sugar and water. Example: Add 1 cup warm water, with 1 cup of sugar and stir until fully integrated. Not need to heat it, at the basic 1:1 ratio it will combine easily.
What's soda water
It's water with bubbles it looks like Sprite but taste like water with gas
Seltzer water
Nismo Dan sparkling water
Fizzy water.

Easy way is add a little bit of lemon and lime juice then add seltzer water then 4 spoons of sugar ,mix till you can’t see the sugar. There you go
Making simple syrup is pretty dang easy and it lets you add already dissolved sugar to the drink, especially if you're making more than one. And with kids that tends to be the issue. Thanks for watching!
