GODZILLA (1954) - French Main Titles (Restored HD)

A full restored version of the original French Theatrical main titles of GODZILLA (1954) in high definition. This credits where later re-used for the french VHS of the movie (VIP Video Club, edited in 1983) which was presenting the full french cut.
The French credits were actually full of errors, mainly misspellings of Japanese names which were very poorly written. It is also interesting to note that the French version tries to reproduce the name of 'Godzilla' in Japanese from the opening credits (ゴジラ, Gojira). However for some unknown reason the symbols are reversed.
As a side note, the french cut of GOJIRA (1954) uses both American and Japanese versions but in an interesting different way. Even if it uses some parts of the American cut, the French version is a bit more close to the original Japanese one. The film dialogues were addapted in french by Bruno Guillaume and Michel Gast and then dubbed by an excellent team of french actors at Studios S.I.M.
For this restoration project, that I mostly made during free time, each credit frame was remade/restored on Procreate and the final cut was created on Sony Vegas Pro 16.

Je cherche ce montage français de Godzilla de 54' depuis longtemps ! Aurais-tu une idée d'où je pourrais trouver en intégralité ce montage ? Le Blu Ray de chez HK ne contient que l'original et je n'arrive pas à trouver cette satanée VHS sur Internet...

Il n'y a effectivement que la VHS de disponible avec le montage français. Le blu-ray ne contient que le montage japonais avec le doublage partiel français. Il se trouve que j'ai le montage français, et je prévois de le restaurer à nouveau. Je peux probablement vous le partager. Contactez moi par email et je vous enverrai une copie de la VHS.
