To give a reader's perspective. I love it when authors reference other authors in their work. Not only does it potentially open the doors to works I haven't read, but it also says something about the character doing the reading and visa-versa the works referenced.
It was among other shows where TV started changing. Single episode stories in which everything was reset were on the way out and season long arcs were coming in. For some of us it was Audrey or Laura/Maddy.
@@Elwaves2925 Yes, the 90s was an era where we started getting multiple episode story arcs and season long stories. Actually, STNG starting around season 3, began to have episodes that reference previous episodes which was new in episodic TV shows. For dramas, that is the norm now.
@ Yes, it wasn't the first to go that way but it was among shows like X-Files, ER, Dawson's Creek and even sitcoms like Friends adapted to it. Season 3 of TNG would have aired Sept 1989, so even that is almost a 90's season....almost, with a bit of stretching. 😁

Love Sierra Simone, the book *Saint* is book 3 in the series, each book is about a different couple (3 brothers, one book each), and her writing is just incredible. The series is heartbreaking, gutwrenching, filthy and very well written, and I'd say the genre is erotic romance with the catholic leaders trope
I find the constant jolt-zoom really annoying to watch..... Can you just keep the video frames steady, or a slow zoom if you really feel you need to zoom every other minute.
good job in the split screen, I thought it was funny that they were sitting so close til a took a second look. Also, I can't imagine seeing "Chain of Monasteries" on a bookshelf and not giving it a look.
I remember an animal story about the filming of the titles for "I, Cladius", in which a venomous snake slithers across a mosaic floor, all filmed in close up. The camera was on rails, as this was a tracking shot, and the camera-operator was sat on the camera, with his eye to the view finder. The rails had glass sheets out of shot on each side, to stop the snake wandering off; and the camera was moved by crew pushing it along from outside of the glass sheets. Everything started fine, with the snake's head being kept in the centre of that frame, but then the camera started to slow down, allowing the snake to edge across, out of shot. Looking around, the camera operator was surprised to find the studio was deserted; leaving just him and the, now out of view, deadly serpent. The studio lights had melted the glue holding the glass sheets up, and everyone else had silently legged it, fearful of getting bitten. I don't know if this is ACTUALLY true, or just a good story.
My David Lynch recommendation: *The Elephant Man* from 1980 is probably his most accessible film. A very moving story about an intelligent, friendly, kind-hearted man with a a frightening, deformed face. John Hurt gave a fantastic performance covered in prosthetics. Anthony Hopkins played the doctor who "rescued" him.
@@honestiago4738 they can be, but they Inverness and Dingwall are a bit more sheltered in the inner Moray firth, Aberdeen and Arbroath are very exposed on the east coast.
When I think of David Lynch I always think of that scene with Bob Mortimer in Catterick where he has it off in the road in a parody of that Song of the Siren scene in Lost Highway.

According to Stuart Maconie Carlisle football stadium is the second coldest place on Earth after the Slots of Fun amusement arcade on Cleethorpes prom. This amusement arcade is not far from Grimsby Town stadium where from the seaward facing stand you can watch the ships at sea, which can be more interesting than the football. It is also very cold especially when there is a northeast wind from the sea beyond which lies Norway and Siberia. To gauge how cold, when my wife first visited Cleethorpes to meet my family and experienced said icy wind, she said "I don't know how you can live here!".
First time questioner, and not sure this is the right platform but... Do you think, with the success of The Traitors, there is scope to do a blind series?
