Great video. Please make a video on the split-step and how to perform it (ex: while waiting on the T for the opponent to return a drop)

Hi David, thanks for your message, I will think of something to help you, what are your struggles with controlling the ball? A certain shot or over all? In my experience this mostly has to do with balance..

Hi coach, I really love your videos and have improved a lot watching them. I usually play with a very fit player who moves really fast on court cutting off all my length balls on the volley and playing a unreachable 2 wall boast if I use an attacking length. I have tried playing safe high shots but anything slightly loose gets punished. I really love the length you play and cannot figure how to do that. I either over hit the ball that sits up after reaching the back or underhit it causing it to land in the no man's land.
Could you please help me with a solo session practice and targets that will get me hitting like you :)
Thank you for the awesome videos you are a legend!!

@@shaileshandrade If your opponent is cutting off ur drives it probably means that you arent accurate enough. And if they can take your attacking length early on the two wall boast it prolly means the length accuracy is bad u want the first bounce to be on the edge or behind that service box line

My opponents usually use counterdrop after my boast, I observe this quite often, so I've started doing it too and sometimes it seems to give good results (if drop is rly good). Do you think this is a bad solution though and it's usually better to look for a wide/lob cross court and drive? Maybe it works but only at a lower level and if I'm playing with someone much better it won't work at all, like reverse boasts which I had to unlearn because it used to work for beginners and now it doesn't when I'm at a higher level.

Hey Shusty I personally think the drop is a great shot to play after a boast because it works your opponent from the back corner to the front on the other side (across the entire court) . However playing a bad drop can definitely reverse the roles and put you under pressure. I would suggest playing that drop when the opponent plays a bad or just decent boast. When the opponent plays a good attacking boast I would suggest using a high lob to get out of trouble instead of forcing a mediocre drop shot. But I'm sure @squashoriginals will give you some good tips here as well!

I would use a drop when it is a quick boast (with speed) when it is a slower boast I would go deep. When it’s quick your opponent has less time to go back to the T. When the boast is slow, hold and choose straight or cross…..!
