Marlo is wonderful! The most inspiring and courageous, and yet totally fun person! And why can't we still have respectful, emotionally mature male talk show hosts like Bill Boggs?

A company from Atlanta was sent to do cabinet work in the Manhattan penthouse that Marlo and Phil were renovating. They traveled to NYC to do the work and came back horribly disillusioned with her, having been totally shocked by her treatment of them, including yelling, frequent use of the f-word, etc. These were nice guys who went from admiring her as a celebrity to wishing they'd never met her and hoping to never meet her again. So STOP the hero worship of Thomas. She is a petulant, spoiled, egotistical brat.

It was posted ten years ago, but the actual interview would have been in 1987. Danny Thomas was still alive at the time, and he died in 1991. He was born in 1912, and she said he was 75.

I'll never forget an interview with Marla on the Today Show when the host said "...the miracles that are performed at St. Jude..." and Marla interrupted her saying "It's not a miracle, it's science..." While it may be a small thing, it is important to push back against the often common assumption that medical advancement is somehow miraculous, and not the result of education and scientific investigation.

Having a mother desert her child to go work is the loneliest, worst feeling in the world. Mothers need to be with their children for the children's sake, not for their own. They can work later on. Children must come first.

none - What's the difference if her mother had gone out and worked or her father did? She had the exact same reaction to her father leaving...she felt deserted and lonely and begged and wrote to her father she wanted him at home. I think you've contradicted yourself. Are you saying it's okay for her father to make her feel that way but not her mother.

I think Marlo is great but I think she has a blind side because she never bore children. Those kids were all grown up and didnt really need her. Because of this I see how she believes alot of fallacies, it might work for single women, but do you have to give up the desire to have children?? I think she missed out.

What is more important than to have the responsibility of nurturing a human being that came from your body. Having the responsibility to mold and shape their character, to teach them morals, ethics, respect for others and values so they would be persons of integrity and prepare them to be contributors to society. I absolutely love Marlo but feminism has long ago convinced women that being a mother and a wife is a wasted life. There's no profession more important to humankind than motherhood.

I don't believe anyone should be limited in what they can choose to do but once motherhood is chosen it would be best to be there to raise them.

I guess Marlo wore a big black wig on That Girl, which actually looked good on her, cause she looks like she lost her darling looks from before. She did validate the desire for a career and I wanted that, I became a pediatric RN, which I totally loved. It gave me so much opportunity, and my mother encouraged it all. I was never interested in business or teaching or anything like that, I was able to participate in a very high skilled hospital and experienced so much. I really dont know why some women complain that they were not encouraged to be educated.

    About family:
That's how Jesus is. Unconditional love. He died on the cross for all mankind. And we can all be a part of the family of God together.
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Jesus)
Romans 3:10 - As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God.
Romans 6:23a - For the wages of sin is death...
Revelation 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23b - but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10 :9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(saved from death and hell; the lake of fire for eternity)
Roman 10:10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
And in this Bible believing family of God, trusting in Jesus as our savior who died on the cross, for our sins, but now lives in heaven waiting for His family to all be together one day. And no one knows but God, when that will happen. So we have Faith and we wait serving the God of Heaven til that time. Praise Jesus!
This goes out to Marlo and Bill and anyone who watches this.
I hope you have accepted this, and share with others.

Most spokespersons for charitable organizations cannot take donations personally; it could be perceived as a conflict of interests among other improprieties. That's why they have donations protocols in place to receive and process donations that would pass any audit. Handing a donation to a celebrity spokesperson is not the way to do it. Your offense taken is misdirected in this one instance.
