I understand the seam catching annoyance. I have the same problem with my pathfinder canteen set and its pouch. I like the large bag. It's set-up pretty neat. Nice lil cook set you got there!
I came across a suggestion on how to turn the field pack in to a small backpack. I haven’t tried it myself but if you pass the shoulder strap through the leg strap loops and reconnect the strap to the original ring you end up with a handy backpack.
It’s made of anodized aluminum, and in order to prevent it from sticking I always inserted mine in the storage pack upside down, so I would just open the pack and stand it on the table, lift up the bag, and there would be no catching on that seam We had the camouflage bags. Were you issued a black bag for your kit?
no i got hexi in my day these really came in later whilst i worked for other organisations but i was never issued one thanks for the correction on the construction they are an awesome bit of kit cheers mick out
Did some doortime for the Queen Alexandra in Aldershot some years back, got to love patrons that police themselves lol. Just repacking my GSR myself, got some good shit in there 🤘 Foldy shovel in the full length pocket. Removed pen slot stitches inside the other and spruce kit lives in there. Ifak. Stanley cup/stove and meths. Coffee and scoffs Twatapult and ammo/fishkit. And other posh git bits lol. I've a plan to sort the flappy lid out so upcoming vid for that Marra 👍 Back to the watching haha. Oh, shoulder strap is through my condor belt with a slight mod for securement a la rollpin.
That respirator/ field pack looks like a great bit of kit Mick, must get myself one. Not used the newer GSR respirator but shows just how much bigger the GSR is to the S10 but I'm led to believe by those that transitioned from the latter to the former that they prefer the GSR, particularly for visibility. By the by, I like the construction of that pack, espcially the fact that it's vented and you can fold the pouches down. Some on a popular online auction site (you all know the one) for around £15.00 new. BZ, keep up the good work mate.
well that was a very enjoyable video and I am happy to subscribe to your channel. I'm looking forward to seeing many more. I too love my military surplus gear. I own very little that isn't US ARMY surplus. I wish I could find someone selling British Army surplus over here but so far I haven't. have a great one and I will see you on the next adventure. Separate comment for the Bcb mess pouch debacle :-p *Just my humble....* The molle straps aren't 'wrong'... Mount the pouch upside down on your belt and you can access your wb onehanded, the seam that catches the cup is deliberate, it stops the rest of it falling out when you just grab a swig. *As I say, just my opinion :-D*

Its very good solid made in sweden. Bullet proof.

Respiratory bag from Surplus and Lost cost is £12.98 postage £2.99
They're not much smaller than a rocket pouch, cracking wee bag imo and as mentioned, surplus sites should get you one between £7.50 and 13 quid.
cheers mate

I use the same system, fantastic kit. Plus, the old BCB Crusader Mess Tin fits snug in one of the side pockets!
