On the note of GoPros, I found the insta 360 to be very helpful. I’m able to see my feet and watch my pedal movements, see what my instructor is doing, and it generally gets me ready for my next lesson. Can’t record audio to it but you can get a digital recorder and sync it to the video using editing software which isn’t super difficult.
I should also note that I bought a “refurbished” one for like $250 at best buy and it had some scratches on the lenses. I bought a glass repair kit and buffed out the scratches myself and now you can’t even tell.
There are adapters, I tend to use some sort of adhesive tape when flying with them. Have had the adapter unplug while flying before today especially in the R44 when its over your head.
Great videos! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 🚁
the shoes are fantastic. thanks for the research.
Can you make a video of your Flight Bag contents?
Thank you for all the great resources and info.

I fly with the insta 360 one x2 and I absolutely love it. It lets you focus on flying and then dealing with the angles /views later.
Where do you mount the insta360?
Hey Devin did you ever make that video of visiting your friends in Alaska and interviewing them?
Please do a crash analysis on the R44 crash that recently took the lives of Chip Tayaq & Jason Myers in Charlotte, North Carolina.
If going into aviation (especually rotor) is anything, it's expensive!
This research is so helpful 🙌
So true!
Can recommend those flyboy kneeboards, I got one when I started flying rotary, my old fixed wing kneeboard was way too big.
Just sent my wife a link to the sunglasses I want LOL
It's so lame that headsets have different plugs for fixed wing and rotorcraft, I fly both..

@J H I have an adapter to. The headsets should have the same plugs , keep it simple
